I bought this book for my nephew because I loved the content and illustrations. I am always on the lookout for a book that is so well put together, children actually want to read the book. This is one of those books. I also liked that it was written by a local Colorado author. The book has two stories about Frieda the fox. I do not want to give away the story line. The stories were inspired by the author's real life interaction with Frieda, a fox, and her family. The back cover of the book has a photo of the author reading the book to the real life Frieda who seems to enjoy the experience as she stretches out her paw and listens attentively. The stories are fun, entertaining and each have a good wholesome lesson. The illustrations are colorful, exciting, beautiful and draw you into each story. The characters are wonderful! I must admit that as an adult, I couldn't put the book down. I also purchased a book for a friend of mine who is a grandmother. She loved the book and thought it was perfect for her grandson (and herself). Parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, big brothers, and big sisters, be prepared to spend quality time with the children in your life as you read this book to them. Be prepared for repeat requests. Use this book as a teaching tool for reading or to teach the wholesome lessons in the stories. The book is a good size with large print--perfect for reading along with children. This book is a great Christmas gift or great gift for any occasion. When is the next Volume of the Frieda Tails coming out?

Frieda the Fox is a colorful children's book character. The story demonstrates how people need to work together. The story moves along quickly except for one inconsistency. There is a small detail missed between the dam bursting and fixing the leaks in the wall.

This book contains two stories of Frieda the fox. Each story has a great lesson for children of all ages and is wonderfully illustrated. Without revealing their identity, I know a 6 year old boy and his grandmother (in her 60s) who love the book. I purchased the hard back. It is the perfect size for reading along with your kids. Have them gather around as you read the large print and follow the vibrant and colorful characters. The book is a work of art and sure to be a classic. Perfect for Christmas gifts. I liked that the book is inspired by the author's real life encounters with an actual fox named Frieda. The back cover has an actual photo of the author reading the book as the real life Frieda listens. It is worth purchasing the book just to see this photo. I look forward to upcoming volumes of the Frieda Tales. The book is a good tool for spending quality time with your kids. This is a book that will make kids want to read. Teach them to read the book and have them read the book to you. They will love it!
