This book was very deep and required lots of thought. This book is about your foundation. You are the temple of God. Temples must be built on firm foundations or they crumble. So, how's your temple foundation? Ms. Calvert uses a number of references to famous psychologists and their works. That's ok though, it makes the reader think. Ms. Calvert uses the temple of the Old Testament to show how God will take the making of your temple today and apply His rules to it's construction and deconstruction. God finds all the gravel, or perhaps it's a boulder, in your foundation and brings it to your attention in order to replace it with His firm cement. In order to remove that gravel God has to have your attention and then has to dig it out and replace it. This can be very difficult, traumatic, and sometimes annoying but you always emerge on the other side better and stronger if you allow God to do the building and not try to do it all yourself. Ms. Calvert has divided her chapters into subsections that are well written and complete in each piece. I found this very important because if something struck me that I needed to mull over, I felt that I could stop reading at that point and think about it without getting lost when I returned to the book. I enjoyed this book and will definitely reread it many times to find more gravel in my foundation.
