        About the Author

        Self described as "The Happiest Person to Talk About Depression," Nick LeDonne is an animator, author, and mental health advocate.

        Previously he was an animator at Nickelodeon on the series, "Blue’s Clues & You" and an animation professor at both the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and Rutgers University. Currently he works as a freelance animator in Los Angeles.

        His animated short films "Hanging" and "Dear Dad" have screened internationally in 30 countries winning accolades such as "Best Animated Short" at the Catalina Island Film Festival and official selection at Animation Day in Cannes. His films pull from personal mental health stories that earned exhibitions at the Canadian Mental Health Association's MH4A Conference and the 26th European Congress of Psychiatry. LeDonne mixes his passion for art, health, and education through his new book and speaker program, "From Hanging to Hang ON" to address life-saving topics of youth suicide prevention.
