From Junk To Jesus by John Michael Weber

From Junk to Jesus takes a look at the journey from addiction to salvation from a firsthand perspective. A life can change in the blink of an eye, but sometimes it takes years to blink. This story is centered around one day in the life of an active addict and the insanity that is lived at the bottom of addiction. It explores what it took to get there and the love of God it took to get out. This true tale of redemption and salvation will give hope to those desperate hearts still caught in the grips of addiction and to the people in their lives who have to bear the brunt of their actions. There is hope, for as Paul says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

as a recovering alcoholic myself I try and read as many books as possible on other peoples struggle in their addictions . I thought this book was very well written and the honesty was enlightening . We all have very similar situations and problems that we have to deal with in life . It is always wonderful to know , we are not alone and there is hope ... I found this book to give me more strength and will to fight this battle of addiction and to reach out and help others ..... Thank you John Michael for your inspiration and your story of encouragement ....

To read 'From Junk to Jesus' is to attempt to understand the desperation of drug and alcohol addiction that is more than likely affecting someone close to us. It could be a member of the family, a family friend or a friend of a friend that is in the grips of addiction right now. Reading Weber's brutally honest book about his life is to realize the devastating effects of addiction...yet to know that there is good news at the 'bottom' of the desperation. Weber realized that God had a special love and significance for him personally, the same way that all of us need to do. This book was a totally inspiring 'read', one that gives hope to the awful-ness and insanity of substance abuse!
