This was a book I could not put down. The author does an exceptional job of drawing the reader in and making us feel like we were with her throughout the journey. The fact that it is a true story only serves to add to this amazing book. Some parts seems so unimaginable that I had to reread them just to get it through my head. It is a story that needed to be shared, both for the author and for readers who may connect on a personal level. It is a story ANY mother can relate to and will make you want to hug your children.

From Miracle to Murder by Joyce Lefler is a very well written account of a mother’s worst nightmare, the loss of a child. And if that wasn’t enough, to be charged with the murder of that child. A detailed personal story of a journey through abuse, grief, bewilderment, and justice. Somehow Joyce, with the help of her “heros”, found the strength and courage to pull herself out of despair and find out the truth about what happened to her son, discover the disturbingly sloppy police work that initially put her behind bars, and put her life back together. A gripping story that’s almost hard to believe is not fiction. I highly recommend it, a very good read.

An emotional read you may not be able to put down This book should be made into a movie! How much should a mother have to go through to protect herself and her family? This really happened. If you enjoy Law and Order, CSI, Lifetime movies, etc., you really need to read this book

From Miracle to Murder is a powerful, powerful story of justice and triumph for a little boy who deserved so much more, and for an innocent woman who was accused of murdering her own child. Joyce Lefler tells Adam's story, and her own, with compassion and dispassion, with conviction, and most of all, with a frightening clarity in exposing the weaknesses in our justice system. Kudos to the detectives who reopened the cold case on Adam's murder, and refused to give up until they uncovered the truth. Adam's story will break your heart. Joyce's story will uplift it.

I've read this amazing book. Well written and easy to follow. It was so good and I had to actual take a break from time to time to take all this in. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a true crime story or even if it isn't your usual type of story.

From Miracle to Murder by Joyce Lefler is a very well written account of a mother's worst nightmare, the loss of her most precious possession, her child. And if that was not enough to go through. She had to endure being wrongfully charged with the murder of her child. The book is a detailed journey through abuse, grief, bewilderment and finally justice for Adam. It's about a corrupt judicial system and very sloppy detective work, that initially placed her behind bars. It's a gripping story, that is based on true, sad facts. I highly recommend this book, it was a very good read with each chapter leading to want to continue on the next.
