The gift of being a minister to children is being there at the pivotal moments in their lives as they experience holiness, Godliness and truth in a world that is constantly pulling them in other directions. Reaching Our Kids is an exciting ministry that's focused on worship, mentorship, and finding new ways to reach kids in this modern age. We teach our kids and volunteers that ministry begins with a focus on serving God and serving each other, with worship as the backbone of everything we do.
A typical ROK service – immersed with awesome lighting, media, sound effects, and a variety of modern puppetry and props – will have kids leading worship, leading each other in prayer, giving testimonies, being a big part of the lesson, and becoming altar workers. In 15 years of this exciting program, we've had numerous children receive the Holy Ghost and have observed their families become forever changed by their children's witness. This book explores the challenges and opportunities faced as leaders and as a team to bring the vision into focus.
