Created by the Elementary and Secondary Subgroups of the U.S. bishops' Task Force on Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Education, this book has three components: 1) An eight-step process that enables the faculty and students to better know, understand and live concepts and principles that enliven the seven themes of Catholic social teaching. Integral to the process is the bishop's 1998 statement, Sharing Catholic Social Teaching: Challenges and Directions. 2) A guide that provides more than 60 samples of outcomes, behavioral objectives and activities for grades K-8. 3) A selected resource for staff development and classroom use.
