I had read some reviews for the Kindred, the series that had taken place before this book. Most said it read like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfiction so I just skipped it. Julian physically and emotionally reminded me of Spike, which fit in with what I previously had heard about this author's series. What I want to know is if he is at all based off of Spike, then who is Quinn based off of? Honestly that has nothing to do with the story, with was very entertaining. There were a few things that I had predicted throughout the reading that ended up being correct, which I didn't really mind because I enjoy being correct. All in all, it was a good beginning to the series.

Quirky, sweet, tough heroine vamp. Sexy, Viking, bad-ass monster hero. The making of a great read...

This was an easy book to get lost in. It was romantic without being too mushy and actually has a good story line for those of use who like vamp stories. Think I might actually get the next book in the series!

Most books I've read eases a reader into the story line. Frost Burn jumps right into the issues the main character has and puts you on the edge of your seat wondering what their next move is. Definitely reading the other books in the series!

Okay, but if you haven't read her Kindred series then you'll possibly get confused a lot. I sure did.

I really appreciated the twist at the end. This from someone who rarely reads vampire novels.

I liked this book a lot. The pacing was a little choppy, but I think part of that may be because I kept getting interrupted while reading it. The characters are well developed and likable. It was decently edited and a nice change of pace to have no instant sex like most romance novels. I liked it a lot and want to read the next in the series, but can't say I loved it. I would recommend it to others. Solid 3 stars.

I liked it but a lil drawn out to get to the act.

It's a very clean romantic vampire story. Yes, there is violence, they are vampires after all, but there is also humor and kissing. This is a continuation, so no HEA...yet. Happy Reading:)
