About the Author

Dear Reader,

Thank you for picking up the second book in my paranormal series, A Witch’s Night Out. I’ve always been a huge fan of witches and their feline friends, and I’ve had loads of fun creating my own. I keep my stories lighthearted, the angst to a minimum, and the sex just hot enough to make your face grow warm. In all my romances, I aim for a few laughs, a handful of clever twists, and a scorching happily ever after.

After Jack Frost appeared in Flirting with Fire as the hero’s best friend, I couldn’t wait to tell his story. This warlock is the quintessential bad boy, whose abrasive personality and command over ice masks a soft spot for his firm’s human resources assistant, cat familiar and empath Mina Mao. To get these two clueless lovers together, Madame Eve works her magic so this modern day prince can sweep his witch off her feet in his white Lamborghini on Christmas Eve.

If I managed to keep a smile on your face for the past few hours, then my goal as a writer is met. I love hearing from readers, so feel free to drop me a line at . You can find out more about my other books and various social media haunts at

Tara Quan's "Frosty Relations" is the second tale in the A Witch's Night Out series, but you can read it as a standalone, I did. I love the magic that's sprinkled into the storyline, as well as the "normal" bits of storyline, like the snow globe collection. The characters are really interesting and well-developed for a novella. There are some hot scenes...magic + hawt nook nook = winning! I will definitely see what else this author has out there. I definitely want to read the other tales in this series.

Gotta love it when old friends turn into something much more. Mina works in HR for the company that her childhood crush's father owns. When Mina recieves a Christmas gift from her coworkers she never would have guessed where it would lead. Jack is an elemental warlock who is quite good with the cold. When he sighns up for a one night stand service he was looking for a good time not a chance meeting with the one he has always denied himself. I absolutely love how this short book was written and the chemistry between these two friends. Such a great short read.

This is the second book of the Witch's Night Out series although you could quite easily read it as a standalone and you would be absolutely fine. The characters from book 1 are mentioned but play no active role in this book. In this story, Jack is not happy as he has lost his best friend to a woman, all the staff have gone home, and it's Christmas Eve. He goes to Mina's office to rant at her, only to discover that she has a date to get ready for. He isn't happy with that idea although he refuses to admit why. Mina has had a crush on Jack for years but has tried to move on, including having a relationship with someone else that didn't work out. Mina is petite and fragile looking, but she has a backbone of steel. She won't put up with any crap from Jack - or anyone else either! I loved a particular scene in this novella when you learn just how strong Mina is. This is a quick but hot read, set in a glacial environment, with a male main character who comes across as a real piece of work but is actually a nice guy if he lets himself be. Well-written and smoothly paced, this is another excellent book from Tara Quan. Definitely recommended. * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Very short but a stand-alone story Frosty Relations, by Tara Quan, is the second book in her A Witch’s Night Out series, but is also a part of the 1Night Stand Series. This is a very short story, only 48 pages, but I did not feel the story was incomplete. Even though I have not read the first book, this book is very much able to be a stand-alone story. Mina is the Human Resources person at a law firm and always ends up handling the firms IT problems. It is Christmas Eve and everyone at the firm is leaving for the holiday, except Jack. Mina has a 1Night Stand date and tells Jack that she cannot help him. She has a prior history with Jack, since she is a familiar and was meant to be his familiar until he rejected her and claimed he had no magic. Mina went on to college, got a degree in Psychology and is planning on leaving the firm in a few months to begin teaching in another state and working on her Masters degree. Jack doesn’t realize, until that point, that he would be lost without Mina. As fate would have it Jack is at the location where Mina’s date is scheduled and helps her out of a rough situation. Since he does not want her left alone, to possibly be attacked again, he takes her to his home, where all his furniture is made of ice! The author’s description of his apartment was fascinating. I could actually visualize the furniture while she was describing it. Obviously this story has a HEA, even though I did feel it ended a little abruptly. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick read. -Reviewed by: Selina
