How can people freeze to death without exposure to cold temperatures? In fact, this happened in a small town in Florida. A prison doctor and an off-duty detective combine their expertise and race to find the answer to these deaths. The ending completely caught me off guard.

Two prisoners freezes to death in a Florida prison in a room that's in the seventies. A prison doctor and an off-duty female sherrif detective join together and try to solve these mysteious deaths. Ancient Indian lore is somehow tied into these deaths. I enjoyed the novel from the first page to the last page.
