Ed and Al wait for Lin's signal while they fight Scar. Talk about an intense cliffhanger ending. Poor Winry though.

Vol. 12 starts in the mist of the manga plot, dissimiliar to the well-known anime based events such as the invention of Sloth as Ed's mother & Wrath as Izumi's child. As in the original manga - The 'Fuhrer President' (per the english edition) is Wrath and Sloth has yet been revealed...so far. Vol, 1 - 7 are similiar to the anime, just with some things missing. Right about the time Ed fight Greed towards the end of Vol. 7 does the manga plot turn it's own course. The story only gets more fasinating in the next volume!

I love this manga/comic for its plot and mystery. It is a real thriller and I always want to know what is going to happen next. I saw the whole anime and I have to say I liked the manga more because it has tons more. In this manga everyone has an angle that keeps this thing fresh. I recommend it and to find it free online.

This is the best manga series I know. It's not the greatest cover I've seen for Fullmetal Alchemist.
