Overview

From the towers of Manhattan to the jungles of South America, from the sands of the Sahara to the frozen crags of Antarctica, one man finds adventure everywhere he goes: GABRIEL HUNT. Backed by the resources of the $100 million Hunt Foundation and armed with his trusty Colt revolver, Gabriel Hunt has always been ready for anything--but is he prepared for the adventures that lie in wait for him?

The woman carrying the bloodstained flag seemed desperate for help--but it was the attack that followed that convinced Gabriel there was something here men would kill for. And that was before he knew about the dungeon in the Mayan ruins, or the legendary secret hidden in the rain forest of Guatemala...

This is a terrific modern-day pulp adventure: an epic quest, a lost treasure, cryptic maps, smart women, brave men, and a terrible villain. Highly recommended to fans of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. -- lyradora

James Reasoner in his book, “Hunt at the Well of Eternity” Book One in the Gabriel Hunt series published by Titan Books introduces us to Gabriel Hunt. From the Back Cover: From the towers of Manhattan to the jungles of South America, from the sands of the Sahara to the frozen crags of Antarctica, one man finds adventure everywhere he goes: GABRIEL HUNT. Backed by the resources of the $100 million Hunt Foundation and armed with his trusty Colt revolver, Gabriel Hunt has always been ready for anything–but is he prepared for the adventures that lie in wait for him? The Well of Eternity? The woman carrying the bloodstained flag seemed desperate for help–but it was the attack that followed that convinced Gabriel there was something here men would kill for. And that was before he knew about the dungeon in the Mayan ruins, or the legendary secret hidden in the rain forest of Guatemala… I enjoy the old Movie Serials and the Pulp Novels especially Doc Savage and those like him. The movies gave us Indiana Jones and now we have Gabriel Hunt. It just goes to show you cannot keep that void empty for very long. “Hunt at the Well of Eternity” introduces us to Gabriel Hunt, a globetrotting adventurer, and his brother, Michael, who is in charge of the Hunt Foundation. “Hunt at the Well of Eternity” is the perfect read to get your adrenalin going as there is plot, action, a cliffhanger, out of danger, more plot, more action then another cliffhanger all throughout the book. I have no complaints. This is one super exciting book. Why Hollywood is not making this series into movies I do not have a clue. “Hunt at the Well of Eternity” is a thriller, no doubt about it. And the action leaps from New York to Florida, Mexico, and finally the jungles of Guatemala. Mr. Reasoner writes in a breathless style that will keep you on the edge of your seat, flipping pages as fast as you can read them just trying to keep up with a runaway roller coaster ride story. This is a wild ride read and I recommend it highly. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Titan Books.
