Have you ever met a man so large in stature that he intimidates most men; yet, when you look a little more closely you will see a twinkle in his eye that lets you know that underneath all of that imposing exterior is a passionate, caring and loving soul? Well, that is the story of "Gage" the second of the Berringer Brothers. Living in Montana running a ranch and logging is Gage Berringer's self imposed kind of hell. He has never fully gotten over the death of his mom or the idea that he might have been the cause of it so many years ago. Sure, he has loads of women what find his sexy woodsy scent attractive and he has slept with most of them but they are hallow victories at best. What he needs is a woman that will rock him to his core. Summer has an incredible vocie and she was born to sing. She is even on the verge of getting a recording deal. That is until she receives a phone call from the record label asking her to come alone to a meeting without her band. Although suspicious, Summer goes to the meeting where she is told they want her and not her band. Oh, and did I mention that the sleezeball of the company wants to bump uglies with Summer? So, she storms out straight to the apartment she shares with her boyfriend, Logan where she unexpectedly interrupt his cheating with none other than.................I'm not going to say! (Ha!) Summer receives a call from her recently deceased grandfather's attorney asking her what she plans to do with his estate. So, with everything that's recently happened, she decides to move to Montana, run the restaurant and live in his old home. Yep, she meets none other than Gage Berringer. At first it doesn't go so well but later, Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! There is a whole lot of hunkin,' burnin' love going on. Okay, peeps, this is a no brainer. Tess Oliver is a master as a good story and a good time. This book was so much fun and so full of wonderfully despicable characters that I wanted to b-tch slap a few of them myself. Do not hesitant on this story. You do not have to read "Rain Shadow" first (The story of Luke, the first Berringer Brother) but you will definitely what to pick it up at some time. This book is raw, sensous and just plain fun!

Gage by Tess Oliver I was so excited to read this book. I really liked Gage while I was reading the first ‘book’ in the Barringer Brother series, which was actually a serial. I loved that he was basically like a hot lumberjack. That was just different for a character to what I usually read. The cameos by Jericho and our other Barringer brother, Seth, were fun. I am still really curious to see what Tess does with Jericho because at this point she must do something with him! He needs a good woman!  The heroine in this I liked more than I thought I would. Reading the blurb I wasn’t convinced I would like her, but I did. There was still something blocking me from connecting with her completely and still not sure what that was, but I did like her. I was surprised at the backstory with her. I didn’t see it coming and again it was a different type of character in that way which was great. I did hate that she enabled her mom as much as she did. Her mom demands things and she gives them to her without a fight. I wanted her to tell her to shove it sooner and especially not give up part of her inheritance. That really bothered me.  I liked how everything worked out in the end and am excited to see what happens next in the Barringer Brother world. Can’t wait to see the next book! 4.5/5 stars

Received this book as an ARC... So this was the last book in the Rain Shadows series and must say I was so sad to see it done but there will be more to come from  the  Barringer  brothers so I'm excited for that. This book had a lot of OMG moments and tons of tears!!! Lots of suspense and some sexy hot "stuff" thrown in the mix!!! Tess Oliver did an outstanding job on this series and I would highly recommend this series!!!!

Love love love! Gage is hooooottttttt. Rain Shadow was really good (not a fan of the multiple novella style though) and I'm so glad that the brothers get their stories as well. Well written, steamy, funny and nicely intense. Well done :)

Gage by Tess Oliver 4 out of 5 Stars This was such a flirty, fun, quick read.  While the story was slightly predictable and totally HEA, it was a wonderful book for a great curl up on a Saturday night and zip right through it experience. Summer is the epitome of California and is hoping her band will be signing a record deal soon.  When her Grandfather passes away she is left with a bar/resturant and a house in Montana.  Unsure of her life's direction, Summer is even more perplexed when she meets Gage Barringer, a sexy, bear of a man who has a way with women and his sights set on owning the bar.  The two together heat up the Montana scenery and have to figure out when to hold on and when to let go. Even though this is a shorter book, the character development is pretty intense and completly felt natural and smooth.  I enjoyed Jericho and Kristina's chemistry and can't wait to hear about Seth's gobsmacking and Luke's long story!  Overall I'm very pleased with Oliver's style, level of steaminess, and depth of storyline development.  I can safely recommend this one as a quick escape from reality. *A complimentary copy was given in exchange for an honest review* Pippa, MySecret Book Spot

~~~RECEIVED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW~~~ Tess Oliver, a very talented author, and knows her way around writing about sexy men, regardless if they are bad or good, she still brings out the sexiness in them. Gage is one of those bad boy, sexy men that will drive you wild! He will make you want more and give you just enough suspense of himself to keep you wandering. But what's he really about? See that's the thing, you will have to get a copy for yourself and get the real feel of Gage!
