A good story can have a little bit of romance, a little bit of adventure, and a little bit of mystery all rolled up into one. Ms. McClintock¿s Gallagher¿s Hope delivers all that and more.A young woman finds herself alone in the world with just her little brother. Raised in a home with money, she now finds herself penniless. In order to start a new life, she takes a teaching job in Montana. There she finds a home, love, and more adventure than she had ever bargained for. This story moves at a very steady pace. It could have gone faster without the narrative on the past and emotions but then the story would not have been so good. The reader will not find it hard to keep reading and finishing the book. There is not just one story in this book. That is what I like about it. The author brings together several storylines and weaves them together in a masterful manner that leaves the end of book promising the reader even more.Ms. McClintock¿s writing is engaging and keeps the reader focused on the story. Her style is simplistic and entertaining.I loved the way the author tactfully and expertly allows intimate scenes without having the need to describe them in detail. Just a few words tells the reader of a bedroom scene. The author focuses on the emotions and relationships being built. This is a book I highly recommend for those that enjoy western romances without too much focus on the romantic side of things. This story comes with action and adventure.*Disclosure of Material Connection: I am a member of The Virtual Book Tour Cafe' and a copy of this book was provided to me by the author. Such a sweet continuation of Gallagher's Pride! There's plenty of romance and more adventure. I like the way each of the characters have a distinct personality. The author has a straight forward way of storytelling that lets you get lost in the story. Recommended!

This is Isabelle Rousseau and Gabriel Gallagher’s story. With both parents gone and no money to speak of, 20-something Isabelle and her five-year-old brother Andrew leave New Orleans to start a new life in Montana. Things happen quickly out of necessity. Isabelle and Gabriel meet on her first day in town, and marry (for convenience) the next! When you’ve lived in the city all your life everything else is an adventure, but Isabelle is up to the task. Isabelle and Gabriel wed to keep her family together, but they quickly fall in love and stay married out of a deep love for each other. The Old West was a hard place to live and the Gallaghers endure one tragedy after another. Death upon death of family, friends, and loved ones. How much heartbreak can one family take? It seems to give the Gallaghers the impetus and strength to endure and survive the wilderness. When I lived in Omaha, Nebraska I traveled to Spearfish, South Dakota (near Sturgis — home of the world-famous motorcycle rally) for work every summer. I always made a side trip to Big Sky Country, Montana, and it never disappointed. Reading Gallagher’s Hope sparked my imagination and brought back memories. You can read Brenna Hunter and Ethan Gallagher’s story in Gallagher’s Pride (Book One). Look for Eliza Gallagher and Ramsey Hunter to get together in Gallagher’s Choice (Book Three)!

When Isabelle Rousseau is left with no choice but to fled New Orleans along with her little brother, she takes up the job of a school teacher in Montana. Born into an affluent family, Isabelle has always had money and never had to worry about it. Now not only she has to settle down in a new town with nothing but responsibility of a younger brother, Isabelle is hoping for a fresh new start. Gabriel Gallagher is a happy man who is happy with what life has dealt him. That is until Isabelle arrived in town. It is only then that he is fully aware of what he was missing. When a terrible truth from Isabelle’s past threatens to rip off everything she had been working for, Gabriel steps in to rescue her. But there be an happily ever after for them? This is the second book in the Gallagher Series. The first is Gallagher's Pride; which dealt about Ethan Gallagher. I haven’t had the chance to read the first book in the series, but that did not hamper my experience with this book. There were some references to the first story and I am sure that there are a lot of details about the Gallagher family in the first book. However, this book can almost stand on its own. But I also have to say that the idea of weaving in three different stories (or sub-plots) in three different books, but all under the same plot is great. The characters of this installment (remember all of them are new to me) are brilliant. I love Isabelle for her strength to move in and settle in a foreign place because that was only right thing she could do by her brother. She takes whatever is thrown at her and takes the practical solution. I love the dynamics between Ibby and Andy. I love Gabriel, because he is so caring, gentle and patient! A perfect Gentleman. (There you go – I am in love with another fictitious character!!) But what I loved the most was the rest of the Gallagher family. They were in no means the perfect family – they had their own quirky little things and faults – and that’s what made them so believable! I loved the whole bunch. The author has pretty straightforward way of storytelling. She builds up her characters and lets them grow throughout in whatever small way. However, I couldn’t help but feel that there was something missing. That could be because I delved into the second part directly and anyway I am one of those people who is always looking for more in a book in some way or the other. This is fairly fast read and I finished reading it in one sitting. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a Love Story.
