Game Over (Sisterhood Series #17) by Fern Michaels

With yet another successful assignment behind them, the ladies of the Sisterhood have enjoyed a relaxing break together and celebrated the wedding of Myra and Charles on Big Pine Mountain. But as soon as the newlyweds return from their shortened honeymoon, they are hit with some exciting yet unsettling news…

It seems their dear ally Lizzie Fox, recently ensconced as Chief White House Counsel, is rumored to be near the top of the short list for a soon to be vacated seat on the Supreme Court. While the Sisters are thrilled for Lizzie, they are concerned about her being ripped to shreds in the approval process, partly due to her connections with the Sisterhood. They also fear it will delay or even derail their long-awaited pardon promised to them by President Martine Connor. It will take a masterful plan, and loyal friends aiding them at every turn, for the Sisters to succeed in protecting Lizzie while securing their own freedom at last.

This series has lasted a long time and truth be known, there is nothing new to be added before it become ridiculous. This book felt like it was written in a hurry to get it done, at last. I am very tired of the dialogue between Harry and Jack or other characters such as " I hate your guts, " Eat Sh##!!!! and die", "You're dead". For professional people, they speak like elementary children. And, no matter what the age, it is unbecoming. Game Over. Move on.

I had read an older book by Fern Michaels, Hey, Good Looking. I found it to be a very good read. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. Fun, light reading. Picked up Game Over for a wkend trip. Didn't know there were 16 others in the series before this one. Couldn't figure out the characters for awhile, never did figure out what exactly they had done, that warranted a pardon from the Pres. Too many characters, not enough info. from previous story line. Finished it, but wouldn't bother with any of the others in this series. Was told that her Kentucky series was her best. May try.

This book fall short in comparison to the rest of the series. It felt like Fern michaels ran out of ideas for this one, it didn't hold my attention, some chapters were dull or the sisters were acting like children, just stupid. I have loved this series, read it from 1 to the present I'm on #18.

Game Over by Fern Michaels Fighting for what's right although they are on the wrong side, it's a worthwhile fight. Myra and Charles are getting married and now they fight for the pardon they were promised. The woman practice on the stripper pole to win one of their grandmother's set of pearls. Lot of investigations take place from both the women and the men and they all come together at the end. Lots of surprises all around...
