Loved it. All the characters were awesome. Funny, sweet & throw a little soon in there too.

I don't think I've ever encountered another book character that I loathed as much as Mia. The story itself was okay but I definitely will not be purchasing any other books by this author. Matt deserves 5 stars but Mia... just no.

*****WICKED FUNNY***** Matt and Mia are both players. Half of Mia’s friends and their friends “have at least rounded a few bases with him” and she’s no angel either – instead of the walk of shame she does a “slut strut”. They are in each other’s outer circles having relatives in common (not close relatives, that would just be gross) so when “Kissgate” happened at a wedding we just knew good things were to come. I was unaware that there are so many terms to be used for lady parts. I actually started to highlight them so I could bring them up at book club (I’m kidding, those ladies at book club would be all – ohhh Maura we don’t discuss our lady parts and I’d be all like – but come on, did you know you can actually say to a friend “Just go part the pink sea and have a one-finger hate-hug with your vagina” hahaha). This is actually a sweet romance at the heart of it all. Sure she’s a jerk and judges him for his past. Sure he’s a bonehead who doesn’t always communicate as smoothly as he should. In the end, it’s all about the feelings. This is a funny, sensitive story that has open door sex scenes, large extended families and lots and lots of love. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

Looking for a fun, sexy read with a sassy female who plays the game on her own terms? Love it when a life-long player falls hard for the one woman who is different from all the others? GAME PLAYER by B.J. Harvey will not disappoint. The first book in her new Game series features Mia, the younger sister of Zander and Zoe, and Matt Walker, Noah's younger brother... all from Ms Harvey's red-hot Bliss series. If you've read the original series you'll love catching up with your favorite characters, but if you haven't this book is a stand-alone with new characters for you to get to know and love just as I have. Mia and Matt, also known as the serial dater and the King of cut 'n run are a couple no one saw coming. But the sexual sparks fly everytime they're thrown together and when they finally do collide the show is always amazing. Can someone say, "Get a room!" Their story is fun with lots of snarky banter, super sexy scenes, dirty talk, and interference from all the mutual friends and family. Lots of laughs in this one. 4 stars

Has a lot of sexual activity and vulgar language, but its a good story overall.

From the parts I actually read I really liked Matt, but Mia is a terrible person! I was never pulled into the story so I just skimmed the entire book and I'm glad I did.

I like this author but this book missed the mark. Witty, sexy, and we'll written...until the last 5 chapters. The tone changed. The drama over the top and out of nowhere.

Cute story if a bit cliched but why all the swear words/ It acutally makes the story difficult to read. Most adults I know do not talk like that. First book I have read by this author and it will be the last. Swear words are the vocabulary of the ignorant.

Was okay. Really tired, though, of these women who get pregnant on the pill. Let's find another crisis to enter into the relationship, huh? Glad it was free. Don't intend to continue with the series.

The Game Player is a spin off from the fab Bliss series although this can easily be read as a stand alone book. B.J. Harvey delivers a witty, humorous romance with a dose of angst just to give it that edge. The dialogue between Matt and Mia was snappy and sharp and their banter was a real highlight. The great thing about this series, is that each book always centres on a specific couple and they really get their spotlight, but as all the characters are cleverly intertwined, we still get to see a lot from the previous couples and so it always feels like you're catching up with old friends. This was a really good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My overall emotion throughout was that I was glad to see more from this gang and it just made me feel happy. I'm really looking forward to Danika's book next. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Game Player is a well written book with a good storyline. I loved Matt's character! There were a lot of funny parts and some great banter between the main characters. I loved seeing the characters from the Bliss series again. This is a good start to a spin-off series! Can't wait for the next book!
