Garrett believes that the evil man that murdered the young girl, will kill again. When Garrett and Anna find ancient bones buried in the forest, Garrett knows it means something. It is their mission, they believe, to save their community and the Indian spirit who now roams the forest. Things get complicated when Anna is visited by a ghost who believes that Anna's younger siblings are in great mortal danger.
Together, Anna and Garrett search for clues to find the killer as the ghosts of the past begin to collide with the present evil. They both realize it will be up to them to fight the evil who is secretly threatening their loved ones, their community, and their beloved forest.

About the Author

Karen DeMers Dowdall was born in New England and spent her elementary-grade school years living in Granby, Connecticut. Her home was located on the edge of a large forest preserve near a colonial era farming community settled in 1680, known as the Salmon Brook Settlement. She grew up with 3 siblings and often played in the hauntingly beautiful forest, swam in the cold waters of Salmon Brook, and ice-skated on a large pond (that was supposedly haunted). She collected arrow heads, colonial pottery, and other interesting objects. These early experiences led Karen to seek out other cultures and their parables, legends, fairy tales, and want to write about them. She has lived in the Republic of China, Saudi Arabia, and England. Karen loves science, history, archaeology, writing fiction and reading great books. Karen graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing and later received a PhD In Nutrition from La Salle University, Louisiana. Garrett's Bones is Karen's second novel. She has also written a science fiction and fantasy novel entitled, "Delphi Altair, Strange Beginnings", published in 2014, for all age groups.
