Far from a conventional "tribute" piece, Garvey's Ghost is intended to suggest the ethos and spirit of the great Pan-African. Like its predecessor, Turbo Donkeycart, this collection of poems offers a rumination on the wonders and ills of modern life as well as the author's own ongoing journey

He parlayed multiple interests into an equally diverse career in media, with entertainment and the performing arts becoming a specialty. From Assassin and Shaggy to the late Lou Rawls and Koko Taylor, he has interviewed a galaxy of stars too numerous to list, similarly has reviewed countless films, music CDs and live performances. (eg. JazzTimes, Inc.)

A three-time consecutive audition Judge for the Tastee Talent Trail, Michael is also a past Entertainment Editor at the Jamaica Observer, as well as frequent contributor to the Lifestyle and Sunday News Desks.

In broadcast media, he is a former co-host of the current affairs show "Mic-1-2-3" (with Stephen Golding) and a regular sport analyst to the "Power Play" programme hosted by Maurice Foster. He has also worked as an Assistant Producer for television talk shows and other radio current affairs programmes.
