A primordial virus unearthed…

A world ripe for infection…

Welcome to the end.

A new organism is found in a cavern below one of the world's largest volcanoes. The creature shows remarkable resistance to the virus it carries, and the discovery brings with it the hope of new vaccines for epidemics that have plagued humanity for thousands of years.

Before further analysis can be made, the volcano begins to wake. It threatens to spew forth an ancient virus which could lead to the deadliest outbreak in the history of the world.

Everything changes when scientists realize they are not dealing with a simple virus.

It is learning.

It is adapting.

It is preparing the world for something much, much worse.

From the depths of the ocean to the arctic tundra, Genesis Plague follows a group of scientists on an action-packed journey to save humanity from extinction.

This revised edition contains many corrections to the original text, as well as some new content.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'd like to clarify the genre of Genesis Plague to ensure that you, the reader, know what to expect and that you buy something you will enjoy. This book is not your typical medical thriller. There are heavy doses of science fiction and horror, including some really weird creatures. It is EXTREMELY different than what you're used to reading in the post apocalyptic genre.

This was one of the best books that I have read in quite a while. This was not an absolute page turner, however it kept my interest all the way through. It did seem that every time you thought you were reading about one of the main characters, they would get killed off. I would have given this at least four stars had it been a stand alone book. It is very irritating for me to read a book only to find out it is one of a series. I generally refuse to read book one of any series. This simply tells me that author lacks the confidence that their books will all be stand alone best sellers. I have read a few first books of a series by accident but never read the second. I feel as though I am being manipulated into buying additional books from the same author. It is for these reasons that I never intentionally purchase a series book. It reminds me of the old "cliff hangers" at the movies. I would purchase another book by this author but not in a numbered series. This was a good book and could have been very good had it had an ending. I enjoyed the book a band it kept me guessing all the way through. It was a little more subdued than most science fictions of today, which is a plus in my opinion. Today's Sci-fi is usually so outrageous with five headed monsters etc., they lack a story line and rely on blood and guts visual effects. I recommend this book but be prepared to be left hanging at the end with no conclusion.

I thought this book was great. Lots of action & suspense. Very hard 2 put it down. It really takes your mind off of your own reality for awhile, that's for sure. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for the 2nd book right away.

This is a book about an apocalypse, but it definitely has the flavor of Michael Crichton. Overall it is a good story, many parts are a bit far fetched, but it's worth reading. Is it going to be mind Best book Then again not everything we read has to fall into the category 5 stars. This is pure and simple entertainment, mostly from a scientific point of view. I chose to give this writer the benefit that what will come along next will improve. He has the talent and some new ideas, however in this book he added unnecessary humor at inappropriate moments of tension throughout the book. It detracted from the action building scenes, leaving the reader asking why. Give this writer a chance, I think he is going to continue to improve so let's support someone with a new twist in this genre. Jp
