About the Author
I guess it is time to inflate my already narcissistic ego. Currently, I am finishing my senior year at Geneva College with a double major in philosophy and writing. I am the Editor and Chief of the Cabinet, Geneva's student newspaper, and president of the Ski and Snowboard Club. Although I have been able to achieve membership in Alpha Chi, a national honors society, and met the credentials to be in the Who's Who among college students, my biggest academic achievement was receiving an A- in poli sci. I call Greensburg, Pennsylvania home. It was there that I began my elementary school tutelage that set the foundation for my intellectual growth and fed my curious nature. From second through tenth grade, I was home schooled. Upon attending Greensburg-Salem High School, I became active in a number of sports. However, the crowning experience of high school was being a part of the Pennsylvania Mock Trial State Champion team that went to Omaha, Nebraska to compete for a national title. After graduation, I plan on attending law school, although I don't know where. And from there I will proceed to be a tool to fix and refine the American social and judicial systems. Although power and money will not be mine, I will hopefully sleep peacefully and have time to myself, instead of being owned by the corporate mentality that fuels the workaholic nature of most lawyers. Now I have to fulfill my promises to all those I told that I would fit into this guidebook somehow. I thank my parents for their dedication to my education as a youngster and their support in more recent years throughout college, and my family in Nebraska who have always been loving and showed interest in mydirection. I would also like to thank Dr. Robert Frazier for his intellectual guidance and friendship, Rich Grassel for his spiritual mentorship, Dr. S.S. Hanna for his persistence regarding my writing, and Dr. Lynda Szabo for introducing me to, and instilling a curiosity for, American literature and poetry.Last, I have to squeeze my friends in here. Thanks to: Brendon for his persistent friendship since second grade, Kent for those pocket rockets you always want but rarely get, Mike for his musical expertise and self-attributed elitism, Dave M. for being so sexy, Ron for his support and concern (even if it's at three in the morning), Ben for his pretending to listen when I talk, and Eric for his tolerance. Ben and Eric, I'm proud of you, you've come a long way.Kevan Gray
