This is the best grammar book i've found yet! it's very clear, concise and easily understandable and it has plenty of examples and practice exercises to make sure you really understand. My teacher swears by this book.
This edition of German in Review is very helpful to anyone that is struggling in learning German Grammar or is looking to Perfect it. It demonstrates all concepts of german grammar in a way that anybody could easily learn. The only downfall to this book is that it really has no vocabulary building, which is essential in learning any language, so it would not be a book to LEARN german with, hence 'Review'.
I had ordered this book last week and when it arrived it was a softcover. I did some research and found that there is not hardcover 4th edition. if you want a hardcover book of German in Review, I would buy the older edition. The older addition is great and my teacher used it in college, and i am not using it in high school. It is a great book but if you want a hardcover, you will have to buy the older addition.
Kim Sparks was my advisor for my German major at Middlebury College for both my undergraduate degree and Master's degree. He wrote amazing teaching materials for German language study, as anybody fortunate enough to have been taught by by him in person can attest. I still have my grammar books and readers by him that I used during college 25+ years ago. Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about mastering German grammar.
