Fairbairn's 'Get Tough' is THE classic manual of simple, practical, and deadly serious self-defence. The techniques taught in 'Get Tough' are those requiring little strength and, more importantly, gross motor skills. When involved in a deadly, physical combat situation fine motor movements are nearly impossible for the average person to perform. Therefore, you need skills that you can use, under extreme stress, to incapacitate your opponent as quickly as possible. If you're looking for a simple, effective method of self defence 'Get Tough' is for you.
Well, maybe not, but Capt. Fairbairn's book is a classic. The moves in the book, while around since WWII, are still effective today. There's no garbage here, nothing flashy or pretty. Just good hand to hand combat from the master himself. Trained in jujitsu, wrestling and boxing, Fairbairn combines his extensive training with years of training police and military forces. You can't go wrong with GET TOUGH!!
