Finally, a book that actually MOTIVATES you to get organized! So often I read books that make getting organized actually more difficult. Kathi, with her authentic humor and personal stories, breaks down the bitter task of getting organized into bite-sized, achievable nibbles - and keeps you laughing all the way. I started out thinking I didn't need to read this book, but happily, after a weekend, I can see the top of my dresser again, and my kitchen counter, once home to homework and stray toys, is now a place reserved just for cooking. Well worth reading.

I'm in awe of both The Get Yourself Organized Project and author Kathi Lipp. This is the MOST comprehensive but LEAST scary book I've ever read about overhauling your life and getting it into an organized, manageable, doable form. Kathi covers it all in just 200 pages--from a warm and friendly pep talk at the beginning ("Eight Basic rules to Get Yourself Organized" and a "Quick-Start Guide") to projects for your home, family, and personal life. There's something for everyone. Need to organize your purse? Car? Closet? Done. Struggle with getting kids to do their chores? Got it. Looking for some tried and true ways to pack for trips? It's here. Meal planning and grocery shopping (two chores that are my nemesis)? Bingo. I love the way the book is organized into 21 separate projects so that you can tackle them in 21 weeks or even 21 days....or just pick and choose the organizing projects that you need. I'm going to start with the most cluttered area in my house--the garage (p. 105). It's a scary place full of spiders and dusty boxes but with Kathi's help and detailed, step-by-step instructions and supply list, I have the confidence and tools I need to get started...and then finish the job.

Kathi Lipp's new project book really is "steps to less mess and stress". In 21 days, you will have your house (bedrooms, office, kitchen), your family (laundry, meal planning, kid's chores) and your personal life (schedule, computer, wardrobe) under control! Kathi Lipp is amazing, funny and so great at breaking things down in to simple steps (like I need!). I love this book!

I love Kathi Lipp's humor and ability to take complicated things like organizing and making them do-able and practical. She provides readers with a workable framework to finally and truly have an organized life. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on organizing our personal lives. Great information. Friendly. Non-stressful. Not shaming.

This book is an excellent way to help even the most disorganized person discover how to become organized. It is written in an easy to read manner, filled with great advice, practical tips and tricks and budget-savvy ideas. After completing this book, your life will be more organized and you will discover that organization and cleaning can actually be fun after all!

Kathi Lipp is an amazing writer and a wonderful speaker. This book gives you easy to follow tips to get yourself organized. What I love about her writing is that she is very real. You wont find unattainable goals here, you will find ways to make your life easier in a short amount of time. This is an easy to follow guide filled with humor and great ideas.
