Getting Lucky with Luciano is yummy from cover to cover!! Hot, steamy sex scenes really grabbed me in this book! Kaylee, Bri and Tabby are fabulous friends and I can easily get intertwined in their friendship! Getting Lucky with Luciano shares with us the tale of Kaylee Daniels the overstrung, workaholic bookstore owner who wants sex but not the relationships that come with it! Luciano is the restaurant owner who is just as much a workaholic as amazingly delicious, however he makes Kaylee a bumbling klutz. I love characters that I can truly envision and Kaylee and Luciano are no exception! The author created real dialogue...stuff I can relate to, laugh with and get lost in! I have to admit I'm a sucker for romance but this book brought tears to my eyes when Kaylee and Luciano both began working through some personal issues! I was sad the book ended but lucky for us readers...I know there will be more! Kelley Nyrae has planned this to be a trilogy and I can't wait to see what comes next! Kelley Nyrae writes with tantalizing sexiness....her books deliver it all humor, sex, steam, passion and more!!
Getting Lucky with Luciano was great! I loved the intensity that Kaylee feels towards Luciano. I could completely relate to the clumsiness and nervousness that she feels when she is around him. And then when all that sexual tension is finally released...WOW! You can feel the heat seeping from the pages. Kelley Nyrae did such a great job pulling me in to her characters lives, I truely am counting down the days till the next book in this series is published.
'Getting Lucky With Luciano' is the first novel I've read by Mrs. Kelley Nyrae and I found it to be a pleasant read, although a little slow at times. I thought Kaylee's frequent nervous stammering and klutziness when around Luciano made for some amusing moments. I was also instantly caught up in the fact that for the past six months Kaylee Daniels and Luciano Valenti harbored a secret desire for one another that was becoming much too strong for them to ignore. I was even more intrigued when Kaylee decides she wants to SPICE up her life by seducing Luciano. However, I was disappointed when every time Luciano wanted to add some FIRE to Kaylee's mundane existence she found some reason to put him off or make him wait. I guess with the mutual promise of a 'no-strings-attached affair' I was expecting more RED-HOT passionate encounters, however the few intimate encounters they shared were sweet and sensual, they DIDN'T begin to even scorch the pages. With Kaylee constantly pushing Luciano away, I didn't see how they could possibly have ANY type of relationship, with or without strings. And I enjoyed the author's brief hints of an attraction between Nico and Tabby and found myself wondering what would happen with this couple, more than the goings on with the main characters. That being said it was still a sweet, short, and quite predictable romance. NOT nearly the erotically charged 'gettin' lucky' tale I was hoping to read. Actually a 3.5 Rating.
