The first book in a new series Getting of Hand sets a great tone for the others to come. If you are a fan of Erin Nicholas’s previous Dixon and Bradford series you will not be disappointed with the Sapphire falls books. This book tells the story of Mason, has a genius IQ, is a scientist and a former resident of Sapphire falls and who does not have great memories of his hometown. Adrianne is a recent transplant, a new resident who wants to make great memoires in Sapphire Falls. There are a lot of other residents in Sapphire falls and as she does in her other books Erin Nicholas creates a town with characters that pull you in, enchant and ensure that you come back for another visit. What I like about Erin Nicholas’s work is that she always manages to make her storylines go beyond family and encompasses communities, either established ones or of the main characters own making, She does the same here with a town that has an agenda and needs all the help it can get and in this case in the form of Mason… they need his financial backing for a project and Adrianne is assigned to sway him into helping while keeping him away from his teen crush It is a fun fast paced and sexy romp that satisfies and the chemistry between the scientist and the sweet maker is combustible. Please be sure to visit Sapphire falls I am sure will want to stop by again.

This book was not a disappointment. I read it in one day. The characters were well developed, the storyline was just perfect and it had just the right amount of heat in it. You get Mason, nerd turn hot rich guy, who is finally returning home after several years away after a awful experience in high school where he would never fit in. You also get Adrianne, a super sweet girl who has one plan to live a nice quite life in the town of Sapphire Falls and avoid anything that cause her to have the same problem she has in Chicago. You get to meet characters of the future books and you get to see Adrianne stand up to Hailey who I didn't like until the end. All in all this is the perfect romance. It has all the aspects but tenfold, with huge splashes of heat. A must read for anyone who loves a reunion story where the underdog wins.

I am a tremendous Erin Nicholas fan, her books are hot and sexy and always full of humor. I was thrilled to see a new series, and her fictional town of Sapphire Falls is brilliant. Full of sexy men and a taste of Payton Place. Many of the residents have lived in Sapphire Falls for years, and most grew up there and know everything about everyone. That's where the true fun begins. Gorgeous Mason Riley must face his childhood demons if he wants to attend his class reunion. In high school he was seen as the geeky need with a genus IQ. Now he's all grown up, filled out and wealthy. His goal? Win over the the girl who broke his heart, Hailey Conner, who happens to be the town mayor. And she needs him. Or rather needs his money.  Hoping to get him to invest in her latest real estate venture she enlists her former college roommate and now assistant Adrianne Scott to help her seal the deal. Poor Hailey didn't count on shy and unassuming Adrianne falling in love with Mason.  Book is a stand alone, which you know I love, but it is also a series where characters will be part of subsequent books, including the second in this series: Getting Worked Up. This is a 5 star book, and you'll thank me for recommending it.

What can I say about this fantastic book? New series, new characters, but the fun, excitement and sexiness continues in Erin Nicholas' new book. Mason, our hero, has a high IQ and has moved on from being a nerd in high school to being wealthy, sexy and smart. His partner convinces him to go back to his hometown because she needs a break and the town wants to buy the land that he inherited long ago.  Adrianne, our heroine, moved to Sapphire Falls a few years after suffering a health crisis and wants to open up a candy shop.  The two meet and there you have it-one explosive and sexy ride! This is a book that I did not want to put down and wanted to read more about the various characters in the town. Fabulous book!

The first book in a new series, Sapphire Falls, by Erin Nicholas. Will not disappoint readers. I read this book in one day, could not put it down. I love to read how nerds turn hot in adult life and that is what Mason does. He returns home after being gone for eleven years for a class reunion where he meets Adriane, new to town. There is a sizzling chemistry between these two.    There are plenty of secondary characters just waiting their turn for a story. Looking forward to many return trips to Sapphire falls.

What a wonderful start to a new series. Who knew a super intelligent guy (with glasses) could be so sexy. I fell in love with Sapphire Falls and all the people in the town. Mason and Addison are great together. Their path to love isn't an easy one, filled with doubt and obstacles along the way. Yet in the end love conquers all including a fear of flying. I look forward to the next installment in the story of Sapphire Falls.

This first book in a fun new series by Erin Nicholas will not disappoint! Mason Riley never wanted to return to Sapphire Falls.   It was a place he escaped after having survived his adolescence being too smart and too young to fit in. Adrianne Scott wanted to start over, to leave behind a stress-filled, fast-paced life, to slow down and start taking better care of herself in the quaint little town of Sapphire Falls. Adrianne is so much more than a human notepad and could be just what Mason needs in his life. But one of them can't wait to leave, the other wants to stay. Their story of finding common ground and true love will keep your interest until the very end.  Go get it now!

I Love Erin's Books!! This is the first book in her new series, Sapphire Falls. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I'm married to a geek so Mason had me from the start. I love that hot, nerdy man mix! Adrianne is the perfect match for him. Their chemistry is quick and intense. This book hits every emotion. At times you can't help but to laugh out loud or help the feeling of wanting to slap one of the other characters. Another Erin Nicholas hit!!!

Mason is an amazing man that has been burned a few times. His best friend needs him to go back home to Sapphire Falls to deal with some business. He is a genius and graduated high school early. He is involved in numerous research firms, mostly agriculture. Hailey is the mayor and needs his land for a business. She had put together a weekend for all the alumni to come down and be shown the business plans. Adrianne is Hailey's assistant. She moved to Sapphire Falls when she had a scare with her health. She had to do a write up on Mason and she was intrigued by him from the start. mason came into town and was drawn to her from the beginning. The girls have planned to keep Hailey away from him because she will hurt him. Adrianne will do anything to keep him from getting hurt. They start hanging out and things get very steamy very quick. Mason makes a hard decision but for Adrianne it's worth the risk. Lauren comes to town to make Adrianne see the other side of the situation and Adrianne makes the toughest decision of her life. Will she keep Mason in her life or will she let him go and be a hero?! This is such an amazing and hot book! I was addicted to it from the beginning. This book has so much passion heart poured into it, it's Definitely a must read.

Another WIN by Erin Nicholas!  I just loved this story. This is the first book of Erin's new series set in Sapphire Falls and can I just say Welcome to Sapphire Falls! This is the story of Adrianne Scott and Mason Riley. Oh Mason! I loved him! I have a soft spot for nerds and I love that he found someone who truly understood him in Adrianne. Their instant chemistry was amazing. I laughed out loud several times reading this book. I fell in love with all of the characters in this town and can't wait for their stories. Whether you are an old or new fan of Erin Nicholas I promise you will not be disappointed!

Getting out of Hand is the first book of the Sapphire Falls series, and she will have you falling in love with Mason and Adrianne. Mason, who is crazy smart (and all around a nerd, except in the looks department) is back in town for his class reunion. Adrianne is somewhat new to town, and has yet to date. When Mason makes an unexpected bid for a few dances, the sparks begin to fly. The chemistry between the two is hot! Throw in the fun secondary characters, and you have the beginnings of a fantastic series. Can't wait for Pheobe's book and to see who she ends up with! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a hot read with a sexy nerd :)

This is the first book in Erin's new series and I loved it. Mason is a hot, hunky, nerd...yep a genius geek who makes Adrianne's heart go pitter patter like no one else can. They are an unlikely couple from all appearances.. but their chemistry is undeniable. The story line is good and I wish Sapphire Falls was a real town as I would move there in a heartbeat. The characters are charming and you will fall in love with this town and with Mason and Adrianne. I give this book 5 stars!!! Another winner from Erin.

Mason and Adrianne have amazing chemistry and you fall in love with sexy-nerd Mason immediately. He is humble and sweet, oh and did I mention sexy??? Adrianne moved to Sapphire Falls to start her life over after having a heart attack due to stress. She loves the town and wants to open her own candy shop in a new mall that she and her college roommate turned mayor want to build on Mason's land. Adrianne tries to convince Mason that this mall is a great idea for Sapphire Falls but Mason has his own ideas about what Sapphire Falls needs, and he needs to save the agricultural industry in his spare time! Adrianne and Mason have crazy chemistry from the very beginning. You'll cheer for them to get their Happily Ever After and fall in love with Sapphire Falls all at the same time.

Although this is a tale told in less than 200 pages, it is a complete book. The author's writing style is reminisent of Macomber and her stories around her town. I enjoyed this story and the sexy interaction of the adults. I enjoyed the complex story that was funny, sweet, hot, and quick! Take a chance on this romance... you won't regret it!

Wonderful, sexy, short romance combines healthy living, saving the world and getting your inner geek on! The characterizations were fabulous, with secondary characters well developed and moving the story along. Dr. Riley, the male protagonist, could be portrayed by RDJ as Tony Stark. He made my toes curl that way!

A page turning 11 chapter very very well-written story of the nerdy genius guy turned hot hunk, an executive escaping a fast paced life, and her smalltown mayor boss. A sexy romance with humor, and of course drama. Explicit sex scenes done with taste and humor. This story can also be found in the .99 boxed set Fall in Love.

This first book in the Sapphire Falls series treats us to the story of Mason and Adrianne. Mason grew up in this small town, a boy with such a high IQ that he was always an outcast among his peers. When he left he became a successful scientist and never envisioned himself returning until an alumni event and a request for a business donation lure him back for some rest and relaxation. There he meets Adrianne, a Chicago transplant who loves the small town life and is enjoying her new community of friends. Her job is to coax the money and land out of Mason to support the new business development - only things don't go quite as planned when an instant attraction between them threatens the business plan and Mason's well ordered life. I absolutely adored this story! I've always enjoyed small town romances and though the setting may be familiar, the characters in this story are very unique. Adrianne is a strong willed and dynamic female, used to the fast paced life of a business executive but quite happy to take a back seat to the Mayor and help out as her assistant behind the scenes. The slower pace and friendly atmosphere appeal to her and she is content with her new surroundings. Mason enters her life like a whirlwind, whisking her onto the dance floor at their first meeting and instantly showing her that while she's been content in her new life, there was something missing - and it was him. Mason is an enigma. He's a brilliant and wealthy scientist who has learned all the social niceties required to wine and dine the ladies and yet at his core still remains a little bit on the outside of normal with his total dedication and enthusiasm for his work. His immediate attraction to Adrianne releases unpredictable feelings that take him by surprise but in a good way. The sexual tension between them begins at their very first meeting and their love scenes are dynamic and emotional, steaming up the pages. Making love to Adrianne releases in Mason inspiration to solve some of his greatest technical challenges and I thought that Mason using her skin to record his ideas was perfectly in character for him (and so sexy!). Secondary characters play an important role in the story, revealing the intricacies of Mason's relationship with them as teenagers and now as adults. His desire to be accepted by his peers still lingers and Adrianne's sensitivity to Mason's desire to be 'normal' is heartwarming to read. Alternating points of view give insight into Mason's and Adrianne's thoughts and feelings, adding emotional depth to the story. The overall tone of the book is lighthearted and fun, so enjoyable that I found it difficult to put down once I started reading. I am very much looking forward to future visits to Sapphire Falls. 5 delightful stars!

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly 4 out of 5 Licks Another hit from Erin Nicholas.  Not one single time have I been disappointed in a book from Erin.  She does make me cry nearly every time I read one of her books, but in the end I always forgive her because I'm so damn happy with the couples.  I love nerdy characters and Mason is the best kind of nerd.  At one point he even takes notes ON Adrianne's skin!  It can't be all rainbows and sunshine though.  Mason and Ad go through a bit of a rough patch but they get back to deliriously happy in the end.  The tell tale sign you know this is an Erin Nicholas book is the use of food during the sexy stuff.  Erin loves finding new and inventive ways to use food in the bedroom, or shower, or kitchen, or back of a limo, or well you get the point.  ;)  Don't take my word for it, go grab this book now and see for yourself.

Fun, sexy, sassy contemporary romance with a fantastic supporting cast.  Fans of Kristen Higgins, Jill Shalvis and Susan Mallery will love Sapphire Falls.  Sapphire Falls is a small town with big ambitions.  To make it happen they need help from some of Sapphire Falls former residents such as the brilliant and wealthy Mason Riley.  It is a case of the nerd makes good and now the high school popular kids want and need him.  Life is good.

Erin Nicholas has outdone herself! Every true Nicholas fan knows how well she can spin a steamy romance. No one can hook a reader like Erin Nicholas can and the first line of Getting of Hand is no exception. Right from the start, she grabs the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go until it’s over. As always, she leaves fans wanting more but not in a way that’s unsatisfying or unfinished. In every one of her novels, Nicholas’ heroes are larger than life who make us drool and pray that by some miracle they’re going to spring from the pages straight into our bedrooms. They’re firefighters, doctors, paramedics and the like with one thing in common; they seem too good to be true. With her latest offering, Getting out of Hand, Nicholas has again given us a doctor in her male lead, Mason Riley, but this man breaks the mold. Mason isn’t a medical doctor. He’s a PHD with a genius level IQ and the ultimate ugly-duckling-turned-swan. Dr. Riley is not only rich but a humanitarian whose work is going to change the world for the better. What more could a woman ask for? How about the fact that Dr. Riley has no clue just how sexy he’s become? Sure, he knows he’s cleaned up well, thanks to some help from his best friend and business partner, Lauren, but there’s still some self-doubt lurking under the confident façade that makes us love him even more. As if Dr. Riley wasn’t enough to make this story great, Nicholas did something that isn’t being done enough in romance novels. She broke away from the stereotypical model-type running rampant in most romance novels by making her female lead a buxom, curvy blonde with a brain! Better yet, she portrayed this woman as confident in her own skin, giving women everywhere a wonderful role model. Not only does Nicholas give us great characters that we’re pulling for from the beginning, but she does it with her signature steamy style. I cannot say enough about how well her sex scenes are crafted. Rather than reading like a sex manual, she takes us on journey with her characters that’s definitely hot but still manages to come across as tasteful. I finished the book in just a few hours, as I’ve done with every other novel written by this author, and I’m already clamoring for the second book in the series. Every contemporary romance author out there should be paying attention to this woman!
