It was a ridiculous premise... Phoebe was Matt's best friend, so, of course, she was the first one he showed the engagement ring to. The ring he was giving Nadine when he proposed. Phoebe has loved Matt for three years and she decides that she would fight for him. The fact that Joe was Nadine's best frined and he wanted to scoop her finished the initial premise of the story. Be careful what you wish for. The story does get better and it starts when the two best friends realize that sometimes best friends are just that... best friends.

Another Winner From Erin Nicholas! Book #2 Sapphire Falls - 5 STARS Erin's second foray into small time life, and she does it up with fun and booze.  Joe and Phoebe came together for a common goal and then... Well, you'll have to read it to see what happens next! Well thought out characters, and plenty of secondary characters that are fun and make you wonder whose next on the HEA hit parade. Good Job, Erin!

I love Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls series and her latest book, Getting Worked Up, was totally awesome! This author knows how to create fabulous characters you can't help but fall in love with and I completely adored the heroine, Phoebe in this story. Phoebe is the girl you would want to be your best friend. She's friendly, sassy, confident and incredibly "sparkly" as Joe would describe her. LOL! I loved their first meeting and couldn't help but feel sorry for Joe as Phoebe put him through his initiation of Sapphire Falls with strawberry booze. I enjoy the humor the author writes in her stories and this one was no exception. I couldn't stop smiling and chuckling as Phoebe described in detail what Joe had to do to fit in living in this small town. These two had chemistry that sizzled off the pages. They were complete opposites but they totally understood each other after such a short time. Joe showed such a tender side when it came to Phoebe that it just melted my heart and their sexy time was steamy hot. It was great to see the rest of the gang again and I loved when they all got together to provide Phoebe with some much needed advice on her feelings for Joe as their campaign to win their respective best friend's heart falls on the sideline. This story is another winner from this amazing author. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Sapphire Falls is a wonderful new series.  In the first book we meet Mason and Adrianne, in this book we see Phoebe and Joe.  They have the type of relationship that draws you in and can't wait for more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Can I move to Sapphire Falls!? Getting Worked Up is the second book in the Sapphire Books Series and it is amazing. Quick background Phoebe has lived in Sapphire Falls her entire life and has been in love with her best friend Matt for the past 3 years, however he's in love with Nadia. Joe is what can only be called a high rolling playboy but he wants to break away from his families traditions of making stud decisions because of women so he decides that he wants to marry his best friend Nadia because she's safe. Joe travels to Sapphire Falls to try to woo her and realizes that he's going to have to change his whole life because Nadia has fallen in love with Sapphire Falls.  I cannot even explain how much I adored this book. Joe are Phoebe are down right addicting. Phoebe is electric and oozes passion and life. She is the girl that everyone loves, except Joe! He see's Phoebe as the type of flashy, shiny type of girl he needs to stay away from, except she is the perfect women to show him how to fit into Sapphire Falls. The heat between these two is immediate and scorching hot. The push and pull of their relationship is perfect and even though I wanted to smack Joe at times I understood why he did and said the things he did and in the end it made me fall a little more in love with him.

This is the second book in the Sapphire Falls series. It is about Phoebe and Joe. Both of them believe that they are in love with other people, Matt and Nadia who are together. Joe comes to town to break up the happy couple with Phoebe's help.'ll have to read the book to find out what happens! I love revisiting old friends in new books and Sapphire Falls is the kind of place that I always wished I could live in. I love how the relationship between the women develops in this book and I am looking forward to Lauren's story. Erin Nicholas quickly became one of my favorite authors. Her stories are so full of fun, heart and good sex. :) If you haven't started this book yet you are missing out!

WOW!!! That is the only word that kept coming to mind while reading this book. Ms. Nicholas’ characters are real, sexy and have a lot of fun in this story of Love and Big Gestures. Phoebe Sherwood needs to make a big public proposal to Matt, her best friend, before he proposes to his girlfriend Nadia. Joe Spencer has come to Sapphire Falls to propose to Nadia, his best friend. So Phoebe and Joe are going to help one another achieve their goals. At least that was the plan. Joe has always been attracted to ‘shiny’ things that are bad for him; Phoebe is very ‘shiny’. Joe fights his attraction to Phoebe because he is in Sapphire Falls to propose to another woman. But Joe discovers that no one has ever shown Phoebe that she is sexy, interesting, funny, sweet, beautiful and lovable, certainly not the men of Sapphire Falls. He decides is the man for that job! Once Phoebe decides she wants Joe, she’s unsure how to make him understand that she is attracted to ‘him’ not what he can give her. What a mess they find themselves in. Will Phoebe propose to Matt? Can Joe convince Phoebe that she needs/wants him? How do Matt & Nadia figure into this picture? The only way you will find out is by reading this awesome story!

Warning- Will make you late for appointments because you can't stop reading... Sometimes who you think is the best person for you is totally just a safe choose and who wants to settle with safe!?!?.  I think Phoebe and Joe learned this lesson in this fabulous book. Phoebe is a perfect example of the girl next door that everyone loves, but no one will date. Joe is the guy that is trying to change his way of wooing ladies with flashy gifts and settle on his safe choice of his boring ( yes Nadia is boring) best friend.  Erin did a great job of showing what really goes on in small towns.  To quote her "Every good social event in Sapphire Falls has four main ingredients - the great outdoors, booze, tall tails and music."   Getting Worked up is the second book in the Sapphire Falls series. Getting out of Hand  is book 1 and just as great as book 2. Keep up the excellent work Erin!

Another hit for Erin Nicholas!!! This is book two in the Sapphire Falls series and it's about Phoebe Sherwood and Joe Spencer. Joe is a sexy, dirty talking, suit and tie wearing city boy. Phoebe is the kind of person that everybody wants as his/her best friend. She's funny, witty, beautiful and she doesn't know it, and a country girl down to her toes. They start out wanting other people and discover that they can help each other get those other people but what do they do with the intense attraction they feel for each other? These two take us on quite a journey of self discovery. It's hilarious and sexy with lots of laugh out loud moments. Their chemistry is explosive and that makes the emotional pain hurt twice as bad.  Phoebe and the girls are a crazy bunch of women! We've also met more of the men from this quirky little Nebraska town. I'm loving the festival traditions. I also love revisiting characters from previous books. Sapphire Falls and its residents are much more than I expected and I can't wait to come back but first I need to check out some cherry syrup and paw print tattoos! Read it and you'll know what I'm talking about. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Love this author and all her books! This is the second book in her Sapphire Falls series and once again Erin does not disappoint. Joe and Phoebe are just one more couple in Erin's books that will leave you wishing these were your friends and you lived in this town. Perfect series for a fun summer read that you won't be able to put down.

Erin hits it OUT of the Country!!! Book 1 Blew Me Away but Book 2, OMG!!!! Right from page one, I felt like I was there in Sapphire Falls with Joe and Phoebe. Right from the start Joe and Phoebe team up to break up a couple. They fell that Matt and Nadia are their soul mates and the loves of their lives. During the story the realize that their attraction to each other is getting hotter and hotter. And they realize maybe the person that is your soul mate is right in front of you. I can’t wait to see what Book 3 – Getting Dirty will bring on August 21st. Erin keep up the AWESOME writing.

After reading Getting Out of Hand, I thought it would be my favorite book in the Sapphire Falls collection because I really didn't believe that Mason and Adrianne could be topped….. Then I read Getting Worked Up and realized how mistaken I had been.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and have a new found respect for cherry syrup and lollipops!   She loves him and he loves her. Sounds like the perfect recipe right? Unfortunately for Phoebe and Joe that’s not the case. Let’s break it down…. Phoebe loves Matt, Joe loves Nadia, and Matt and Nadia love each other. So what do you do in Sapphire Falls when the one you love is in love with someone else? You hatch a plan to break them up of course! It seems Phoebe and Joe make the perfect team. Phoebe’s gorgeous, over the top, aggressive, and a native who knows all about Matt while Joe is sexy, reserved, charming, the willing-to-let-Phoebe-do-whatever-she-wants type, and he knows everything there is to know about Nadia. Will that be enough to break up the happy couple?

Loved loved loved this book.  Joe was so hot from the moment he stepped onto the scene.  He was dirty talking, smooth, and loads of fun. Then there is Phoebe.  She has got to be my most favorite heroine of Erin's so far.  She is feisty as all get out, country to the bone, fun, bright and sparkly, and everyone's go to girl.  For me she made the book.  But I do have to warn, there was a part that just hit my heart hard.  Stopped it for a second in a crucial part. But I did admire the way it worked out.  I enjoy it more when the characters work through their issues and not fix them so simply or quick.  Erin has done it again for me...made me love her characters and make them seem true to life and not so fictional.

I do not even know where to start! I absolutely love Joe and Phoebe. They were absolutely wonderful characters with so much heart and care for one another even when they weren't ready to admit it to themselves. I think Joe may have even taken over my favorite character spot from Mason in Getting Out of Hand. The ending of this book was the perfect way to close out the book. It fit their characters perfectly. I want more of these two; a novella on all their adventures and "gestures" of love. I love this series and cannot wait to read more. Way to go Erin! You have created a brilliant masterpiece with this series.

my, my, my! What do I saw about the second book in the series that I didn't say before? The intense attraction between the main characters, Joe and Phoebe, while they make a plan to win what they believe is their true loves back to them. What transpires is one hot ride!  It would be advisable to read this series in the order they were written but it's ok if you don't.  So far, I can't decide who I like best: Mason or Joe. Which one will you choose?

This is the second book in Sapphire Falls.I have fell in love with the characters from this small country town. This story focuses on Joe from the city and Phoebe from Sapphire Falls. Joe has arrive to breakup Nadia (whom he thought he was going to marry) and Matt (whom Phoebe thought she was in love with for her whole life). As Joe and Phoebe start spending time together, sparks begin to fly. I loved the chemistry between these two. Joe thinks money and gifts will buy anything, but maybe not Phoebe. I could not put this book down. It was great to revisit with the characters from Getting Out of Hand, I love how the girls are so supportive of each other and the guys, well are the guys. So very true of small towns. I highly recommend this fun loving series by Erin Nicholas, she has another hit on my list!

Wow! I didn't think it would be possible for me to like anyone as much as I did Mason (book one) but I was wrong! I loved Pheobe and Joe Spencer!!! I really enjoyed their story and as always it was sweet but Erin Nicholas knows how to throw in the spice! A really great read that you're not going to want to miss!!!

What a wonderful story. I loved the premise of them both being interested in other people only to discover true love in their quest. It just goes to show you that love can reach out and touch you when you least expect it. Erin has a wonderful way of writing characters that make you fall in love and care about their story. I love how each of her stories are unique. Joe and Phoebe are both determined to marry other people. Phoebe is sure she's been in love with Matt forever and Joe needs a woman who tames him aka stable Nadia. Only problem is Matt and Nadia are in love with each other. Together, Joe and Phoebe set out on a quest to dissolve Matt and Nadia's relationship, not by trying to sabotage them but to simply make them see that they each are a better choice. Joe must learns the ways of Sapphire Falls and who better to teach him than, Phoebe, the woman who has lived there all her life. One must be careful when you set out to deceive you just might fall in love.

There are some authors out there that break the book mold. Erin Nicholas you are one of those authors! From the first page of Getting Worked Up you are captivated! Phoebe and Joe bring you on an adventure that has you laughing out loud, falling in love with them and thier antics as well as falling in love with the town and its people. Phoebe is strong, loving, independent woman who is everyone's friend. You relate with her because she has all the qualities your real life best friend has. Joe is an amazing, romantic man who sticks up for his friends. He wants the best for everyone and goes above and beyond to make sure dreams come true! I got butterflies when reading about Joe and how he was wooing Phoebe. After finishing this book I found myself wondering what the gang was doing? Or who they were with! Erin Nicholas works her magic by bringing her books to life!

Phoebe is a sassy, independent, says what she feels woman that the entire town of Sapphire Falls loves. Joe is the suit and tie that drinks his beer from a glass. The only thing they have in common is the need to break up the relationship of their best friends. Enter moonshine, boots and tailgates and you have a fun and unexpected love story. Erin is a must read for that down home warm love story!

Is it considered a felony if you knock yourself off?  Well, that’s what Erin Nicholas has done with Getting Worked Up.  Her first trip to Sapphire Falls, Getting Out of Hand, was #1 on everyone’s hit parade.    Well, she’s gone & bumped herself right off the top spot with her second visit, Getting Worked Up.  It is absolutely AWESOME!  Phoebe & Joe are the hottest couple yet to hit Sapphire Falls.  Their chemistry is so hot it’ll singe your eyebrows.    We met Phoebe in Getting Out of Hand but fall in love with her in Getting Worked Up.  Who couldn’t love this sassy, sweet, fun loving, bossy, go-to girl? Joe certainly can’t resist her charms.  And Joe.  Holy Hotness!  There aren’t enough adjectives to describe him.  He’s sexy, sweet, confident, charming, hot, caring, sexy.  Although he’s previously lived an over-the-top playboy lifestyle, he comes across as a laid back country boy in a custom-made suit.  Which Phoebe soon gets him out of! :D What ensues is a fast-paced, fun, laugh out loud, steamy, HOT romp through Sapphire Falls.  One you have to experience for yourself.  So run, don’t walk, to get your copy now and prepare to swoon.   You’ll be ever grateful, as I am, to Erin Nicholas.  All of her previous books have been wonderful.  This one is flippin’ fantastic.   Erin will soon take us on our third trip to Sapphire Falls with Lauren and Travis. Lauren shocked and tantalized us in Getting Out of Hand.  I suspect she’ll rock our world in Getting Dirty.  I. Can’t. Wait.

Getting Worked Up is the second in the Sapphire Falls series by Erin Nicholas. The first book, Getting Out of Hand was great but this book was absolutely amazing and SEXY! Phoebe and Joe are trying to help each other get their true loves back, but what they discover is that some times true love is not always what or who you think it is. True love is discovering who you are and what you really want. Loved this story and highly recommend this series and this book.

As with all of Erin's books this is a great story that you won't want to put down until it's done!   Sometimes in life (and love) what you need and what you think you need, don't necessarily match up.   Phoebe thought she needed to make her best friend fall in love with her to be happy.  Joe thought he needed a safe, easy going girl like Nadia to help keep him in check and tame his wild ways.  While trying to find a way to make their friends fall in love with them Phoebe and Joe might just find true love where they least expect it.  These two certainly do get worked up when they are around each other, even if they try to fight against it.  Loved it, go get it now!
