Overview

In a world full of damaging social issues, "Ghost Hearts Don't Stitch Together" provides a chilling account of several major obstacles that haunt the adolescent mind. This collection of poetry and short stories paints a vivid picture while progressing the reader through the journey of pre-adulthood. An emphasis is placed on the internal battles of eating disorders and depression, two of the biggest internal wars life can create. In short, "Ghost Hearts Don't Stitch Together" can speak volumes to young adults who are in need of a blunt, yet hauntingly personal account of the issues they face throughout adolescence. This experience should also be celebrated by anyone who wants to gain a deeper insight in to the transitional mind. Good luck on your journey, let this collection of works aid you in your lifelong travels.

[Why not? As long as I have readers(PLURAL!) :) Also, all these poems are winged. I never write them any where else but on my NOOK. I just make them up as I go. And Portal, I'm 13, 14 this Aug 16. I feel that this one isn't so great... hut who cares? Not me.]
Cages -
Cages always keep us hidden,
locked away, freedom forbidden.
Cages keep me close and snug,
even as it hurts me.
Knee to chest, chest to knee,
this cage will never have me.
I think outside the box,
of things I cannot touch.
I cannot touch my lovers hair,
but touch a bar? Very much.
Being locked up has its pros,
It might come in handy,
But who knows?
I will know when the lock is picked,
And my eyes meet yours again.
I will know how to end this
how to bring the cages to an end.
~ Sempiternal<_>&#28974
