Dorian Lindstrom, codename Ghost, knows everyone breaks under torture.

His five weeks in an enemy prison taught him that with unmerciful precision. He's put his life back together as best he can with the help from his brothers at Linear Tactical.

But he's never gotten over his love for Grace Brandt, her part in his capture, or the fact that she died.

But sometimes the dead don't stay that way.

Grace knows her past can't be forgiven. She's stayed hidden as long as she could, but now the secrets slowly suffocating her won't stay buried any longer.

And the man she helped break, the man she's always loved, is the only one who can stop this nightmare.

She'll need a Ghost to fight her demons, and he's more than willing to prove she's worth the fight.

The Ghost will rise.

Every once in a while a book grabs hold so tightly that you just can put it down, Ghost is one of those books. I went into this one with the intention of taking it slow and savoring the story of Ghost and the woman capable of capturing his heart. Instead, I literally devoured it. Dorian piqued my interest from his very first appearance in the Linear Tactical series, and he certainly doesn't disappoint here. Ghost is, by far, the most emotional book in the series, and there were times that I really didn't like Grace, but in the end I knew she was exactly what Dorian needed. Even when this pair was making me a little crazy, it was obvious that they were meant for each other. Add in the danger and intrigue that Janie Crouch does so well, and this is one thrilling read from cover to cover. The Linear Tactical series is made up of standalones, and Ghost is no different, but they are all set in the same world and revolve around the wonderful characters that make up this family. Once you've met them, you'll want to know more of their stories. I love that even when there are some loose ends from one book to the next, everything is explained wonderfully to catch the reader up and maintain the standalone stories. For me, this crazy bunch of characters who would do anything for each other have become a little like family, and I can't wait to see what's next for them.

4 1/2 STARS! An electrifying tale of danger and suspense! With the next book in the ever-exciting Linear Tactical series, we get Ghost's story. He's been a mystery for the first four books, and we've known that his story was going to be a revelation, we just didn't quite know to expect quite the turn-around that we got! The characters were very easy to connect with, the action and suspense was non-stop and while I wanted the ending to showcase them together a bit more, overall I really loved the story! Six years ago, Dorian Lindstrom AKA Ghost lived the worst days of his life when he was captured and tortured to within an inch of his life ... but the thing that brought him the worst pain was knowing that he couldn't save the love of his life as she was killed in front of him. Grace Brandt AKA Wraith has stayed hidden long enough. The secrets that she carries from her past are never going to let her rest if she doesn't find a way to put an end to the crimes that are still being committed surrounding the project they worked on. She knows she can't do it by herself ... the only person she can count on is the man she's always loved.

A very twisted path for the latest tale Ray, former black ops agent and woman six years dead, makes a surprise resurrection when she seeks out Dorian, former black ops agent and survival expert, to help solve the mystery of who is killing the members from their old black ops team. As the story progresses secrets are kept, things get murky, and danger is closer than they think. Janie Crouch has provided a very twisted path for the latest Linear Tactical guy. She also included some very dark, yet realistic, after effects that some veterans deal with. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Wow. Just wow. This story will stay in your mind, hunt your dreams, and make an imprint to your heart cause Dorian and Grace will take your breath away. The pain they have experienced shattered my heart. The loss of control, the constant distress, consequences of the past torment is unimaginable. Ghost still has the same vibe, the same brotherhood, the connection - if not stronger - between the military brothers, Linear Tactical, than in the previous books. But it is darker with the danger and malice that is done to the special force members, to the men of black ops so dark, they can't even see their own shadows. The story goes into those deep, dark corners of the human mind that is still mysterious to us. It has the palpable sense of utter despair, loss of control, unpredictability. But the story delivers on all accounts, granting mercy, forgiveness, and redemption when needed. Surely the story dances on the line of is it believable or not, could this have actually happened, kind of wishing the answer is no cause this book, the story hunted my mind, and I do not wish anyone would have to go through what these warriors have to endure. Their destiny came to my dreams, and that's a sign of a fabulous, intense, memorable suspense story. Ghost does take a different direction from the previous books in the series, it paints their army days as a more of painful reality to the LT men than the glorious past. It shows so clearly and tangible what a war can do to a person's mind without glorifying it in any way. Amazing, really, how the author tells the story of these raw, broken souls, who have seen the worse of humanity. The connection between (Grace aka) Ray and (Dorian aka) Ghost is marvelous, all around just one swoon-worthy, yet earnest and tangibly passionate moment after another. To the point that within its intensity it reminds me of the fourth Omega book, Leverage, from the first Janie Crouch series, the story between the pilot and the scientist. Not for a moment is there a doubt in my mind how Ghost feels about Ray and what he would be willing to do to keep her safe, as well as his brothers. He is a man of dignity, honor, loyalty, and he is the man for Grace. As I read the story I got to witness breathtakingly beautiful love story, heartfelt and ardent, as fierce as it is delicate, as tender as it is passionate, in a mids of raw, brutal mind games and lethal, savage violence. This story stands well on its own, but to get the depth of Dorian's connection to his military brothers, I highly recommend the whole series. Let your mind to be blown away - and challenged -with this powerful and potent romantic suspense story, a tale that I fell in love with. ~ Five Spoons

Wow, Janie Crouch gives us another fantastic installment in the Linear Tactical series! This time, it's Dorian, aka Ghost, that we learn more about. He has been in the background in the previous stories because that is where he has liked to be. He has been though being a captive in Afghanistan and tortured. He has trouble being with people and often retreats to the woods to refocus and recover. He also has mourned the death of Grace, aka Wraith, the woman he loved. But Grace didn't die that day in Afghanistan when Dorian was captured. Grace is just as damaged as Dorian and has secrets that could tear them apart just as they are trying to pick up the pieces. I really liked Grace or Ray as she preferred to be called. She is just the person Dorian needs to help him heal as she understands and she needs him to help her heal. I enjoyed reading their story and was rooting for them at each turn. They struggled and I cheered what they accomplished. As the series goes on, I look forward to see how they heal, recover and grow stronger. I am also looking forward to reading Shadow's story. This is an amazing series and I highly recommend!!! I received an advanced copy for my honest review.

Anyone who has read this series has been waiting for Ghost's story He is the member of the team who has the severe PTSD that leads t him spending months holed up in the wilderness either that or pounding his friends to get rid of his aggression Dorian “Ghost” Lindstrom saw the love of his life Grace"Wraith" Brandt blown up in Afghanistan and if that wasn't bad enough he was captured at the same time and spent 41 days been tortured by insurgents if it hadn't been for a anonymous tip that his team got allowing them to rescue him he would have died there. So why does he now have a feeling that Wraith is following him in the woods confirmed when he received a quarrel to his side with a message .attached. How can a women who he loved and mourned actually be alive and what secret is she protecting. While I had trouble with Wraiths character she had to be this way for the story to work out and ye she did grow in you. This is a masterfully written story that anyone who loves this series shouldn't miss If you are new to the series please read the other books first as you will understand the world they live in so much better.

Amazing Series. Ghost is a great addition to the Linear Tactical Series. It is a fast-paced, suspenseful read with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is full of action, suspense, intrigue and danger but, it is the wonderful characters that pull you in and keeps you pulling for them until the end. I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

The Linear Tactical Series continues to deliver thrilling, romantic stories. Ghost is the latest in the series and, as usual, this new novel is now my favorite. Loved it! So, if you like a steamy, suspenseful read with well-developed characters and a HEA, then this book-- and the entire series are for you. Go ahead; get it and read it. For sure, you'll find yourself waiting anxiously for the next Janie Crouch book/series.

A story of overcoming the impossible and trusting love. You must read this series. Ghost has always been the distanced one. Preferring the outdoors to being around crowds. He thought his one love wad dead. Events start to unfold and he starts to think his mind is playing tricks on him. He may be haunted by his memories, but he knows Grace and is sure she is out there. Grace comes back into his life and his friends don’t know what to think. They will both be thrust back into their past. One thing they both know is they will do anything to not harm each other or go down trying.

Close to perfection. (4.5) I have enjoyed the Linear Tactical series, and was looking forward to the next story, Ghost, because I love the series and don't want it to end. When I was fortunate enough to received an arc for Ghost, I grabbed my coffee and sat down to be entertained. I was not expecting the intense story I received, I was not expecting to hurt for Dorian, to cry for Grace/Ray. To know that even though this is a story, so much can be related to our deployed and veterans. It brought it all home. The twist, OMG, the twist, broke my heart and the strength to which Grace/Ray had to do what she could during that time, was mind blowing. The book was so intense in comparison with the others in that series, that to me, it felt a little off when the other characters were brought in to reduce some of the tension. Now I wonder how close the government is in real life to pull some of that off! I highly recommend this book, and you do not need to read the others to enjoy it, but why not treat your self to them :) This was a one sitting read, and then I had to wait to pick up any other book, by anyone, I had to deal with my thoughts and feelings. Thank you Janie Crouch for sharing your talent with us. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.

Dorian “Ghost” Lindstrom’s story is all that we were hoping for and more. Dorian was held captive and tortured for five weeks and is still dealing with many issues, but he has found a home and friends with his buddies at Linear Tactical. He still is not over the death of Grace “Wraith” Brandt from six years ago. When he thinks that she may be alive after one of her “calling cards” he is not sure if he is going crazy. Grace is alive and is now called Ray. She has stayed hidden as long as she could, but now she fears that a killer may be after Dorian and she needs to make sure that he is safe. She has learned dangerous information about the special ops program they were both involved in and now former agents are dying. She needs to alert Dorian as she searches for the killer…or killers. A wonderful fifth book in the Linear Tactical series, full of past characters, suspense, danger and romance. WOW! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. GHOST is the fifth instalment in Janie Crouch’s contemporary, adult LINEAR TACTICAL romantic, suspense series focusing on a group of former Special Forces soldiers who own and operate Linear Tactical, an Oak Creek, Wyoming business specializing in survival skills, security and protection. This is government agent Dorian ‘Ghost’ Lindstrom, and agent Grace ‘Wraith’ aka Ray Brandt’s story line. GHOST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Dorian and Grace aka Ray) GHOST follows in the wake of Grace Brandt’s return from the dead. Six years earlier Grace Brandt died trying to save the man that she loved but in doing so led Dorian Lindstrom straight into the arms of the enemy, an enemy that tortured and broke our story line hero. Fast forward to present day wherein Grace now known as Ray, has returned from the dead with news that not all is at it appears to be. The government sanctioned Black Ops group known as Project Crypt, a group of which Ghost, Wraith and the others once belonged, had gone rogue, and was working off the books in an attempt to dominate and control. What ensues us the rebuilding friendship and relationship between Ray and Dorian, and the potential fall-out as the truth is revealed, and Ray’s life hangs in the balance from sins of the past. Dorian Lindstrom barely survived the torture endured in the Afghanistan prison but six years later, coming face to face with the woman he had tried to save meant a possible second chance for our story line hero. Grace ‘Ray’ Brandt had secrets of her own, secrets that once revealed would threaten everyone Dorian loved. Project Crypt was still in control, a control that dominated our story line couple. The relationship between Dorian and Ray is one of second chances; a rekindling relationship between former lovers who were destroyed by secrets and lies; power and control. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to Aiden Teague and Violet Collingwood (Shamrock #3), Finn Bollinger and Charlie Devereaux (Eagle #2), Zac Mackay and Anne Griffin (Cyclone #1); Jordan Reiss and Gabriel Collingwood (Angel #4); Heath “Shadow’ Kavanagh; Mason ‘Phantom’ Wyndham; Sheriff Curtis Nelson; as well as Project Crypt leader Dr. Timothy Holloman , and agent Angela Landry. GHOST is a story of secrets, betrayal, vengeance and lies; second chances and forgiveness; retribution, power and revelations. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the romance is passionate; the characters are broken, spirited and intense.

Wow!! This book was amazing. Full of action and some twists to the story. Ray was a fantastic character and I really enjoyed her. Dorian was also fantastic and I was so happy he got his story! When the two get together to try to find an assassin the chemistry was hot and some sexy time was included. Linear Tactical's previous characters were also included and it was great to have them included. This was just an fantastic story all the way around. I loved it!!!

Ghost Linear Tactical Series Janie Crouch Engrossing story that pulls you into the past, present, and future of Dorian and Ray. Thinking for 6 long years that Ray has been killed Dorian begins to see signs that maybe she didn’t die after all. Once again a story that wrings your heart with emotions for the characters in such a way that you feel deeply for them. Strong alpha hero and heroine as only Janie Crouch can create. Set aside plenty of time to read it as it is impossible to put down until the end.

Numb. My brain and emotions are numb. This book put me through the wringer. Dorian has always been one of my favorite members of Linear Tactical. I know part of it is the wounded warrior, but another part is the strong silent alpha. These are archetypes that just do it for me. So, when I learned that his perfect match is another strong silent wounded alpha warrior, it was like feeding me catnip. I couldn’t read this book fast enough. I has my suspicions early on and I couldn’t wait to find out if I was right or way off base. Turns out, I was both. And the plot threads that have been set in place for Shadow’s story leave me salivating for the next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.

Seriously, each book in this series guts me more and more!! Just by reading the blurb I knew Dorian’s story was going to shatter me, but to then read Grace’s story, I wasn’t sure if my heart could take it. It has been six years since Dorian was released from hell in an Afghani prison and his body has slowly recovered from all the torture he had endured but the residual effects to his mind has been lingering and excruciating to him. He is still so crippled from the death of Grace that he was having a hard time trusting his own mind; he is feeling Grace all around him. But when there is evidence that she was actually alive, he was determined to get some answers, in any way possible. To save the man she loved, Grace/Ray has been “dead” these past six years, and to learn all she had endured and how far she went to protect him was heartbreaking. The sacrifices and decisions she made and how it affected her, to extent she could not stand to be called Grace anymore, was absolutely gut-wrenching. But to find and stop a killer, she had to reach out to Dorian and they had to work together. But there are things Dorian doesn’t know and Ray was determined to keep protecting him and his new found life he has built. Dorian and Ray’s story had me bombarded with so many emotions. The scenes where Dorian struggled with his panic attacks and to witness the extent of the betrayal inflicted towards both of them was difficult at times. When we learn the full truth of what really happened to them both, to say I was shocked is an understatement. Their story is intense and raw and as broken as they are, they are exactly right for each other, they are soulmates. As hard as their story was, I absolutely loved them and was in awe of their strength, both internal and external. These two are warriors and protectors, so for them to finally be free to be together was beautiful. Don’t get me wrong a lot happens, with a lot of twists and turns and jaw-dropping revelations but ultimately worth it. Another excellent and fabulous book from an amazing author.

This is one of those books that deserve “10 AMAZING STARS” for the sheer writing genius alone. This is book 5 in the Linear Tactical series and it features Dorian/Ghost and Grace/Ray/Wraith. The plot, the action and the characters were FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Grace was not how I pictured Dorian’s love interest to be and that’s probably what made her all the more real. The story played like a movie in my head. There was one moment that disappointment in a group of characters hit me hard. I couldn’t believe what happened had actually happened. This book was not what I was so much better! A book written in a non-typical, special way, for a special character named Ghost. BRAVO!

I knew this book was going to be epic but it blew my expectations out of the water. So much happens in this book I can't say much but wow, every book in the LT series gets better and better, the stuff covered in this one fascinates me and I can't wait to read more of it in the next book. Would give Ghost more stars if I could.
