Opeth is a band that despite its switch to a mediocre label like RR, have not sold out and have actually improved and fully realized their legendary and unique sound. Ghost Reveries is a trully amazing feat for Opeth.

Ghost Reveries is truly amazing, as is most - if not all - of Opeth's work. Naturally, this album is nowhere close to Blackwater Park, but this CD easily stands out on it's own. Don't be fooled by anyone who says Opeth is "going in the wrong direction" with this album. This is some of Opeth's best work and is enjoyable all the way through. Some of these tracks are already some of my all-time Opeth favorites.

this is yet another great turn around for opeth. they always change things up appropriatly. their new album is a lot more complex than damnation, and also a lot heavier. The acoustics flow beautifully and are brillantly cut into with blistering metal riffs and guitar solos. a great comeback
