When Becca Tripp meets Thomas Slye, secrecy, murder, and love intertwines. An image of a beautiful black ghost horse leads her through thunderstorms of doubts and an investigation endangering her unborn child.

Becca's love for horses is her driving force in pursuing the investigation against the wealthy Tennessee Walking horse owner. When the painful eyes of her ghost horse haunts her, she takes matters into her own hands and video tapes the criminal activities of the owner making big money by winning the championship Tennessee Walking Horse awards in the amount of six figure checks.

Deaf ears refused to believe what is happening to animals that can't speak out for themselves. She speaks for them. But, the more she discovers, the more she doubts Thomas Slye's honesty. Faced with an emotional battle of loneliness and her need to trust him, she suspects he's involved with the criminals.

Why did he lie? Did she go too far? Is Thomas part of the unspeakable crimes committed against the beautiful Tennessee Walking horses?

Her continued questioning and media exposure surrounds Becca with danger. Though her life is threatened, her ghost horse refuses to let her stop pursuing the horrendous acts against the horses. After a warning from her ghost horse, Becca is trapped in the dark stables on a stormy night when the crackling thunder fails to cover up the whoosh of a bullet landing in the post near her head. She hugs her round belly as the blue lightning flash reveals a large silhouette.

Why did he want to kill her? She loved him.
