Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
A simple, intriguing, yet satisfying story makes this early chapter book a pleasure to read. Matt is away at camp for the first time, and he struggles with the many outdoor activities, from swimming to canoeing. On his second night, the mysterious howling of a lone wolf appeals to Matt's sense of loneliness. However, homesickness and isolation are both overcome as Matt makes friends with some of his cabin-mates, and it is not until the last night of his stay that he encounters the wolf making the noise. As the story progresses, the reader learns that Matt's father rescued a wolf from a trap when he was at the camp, and connections abound as Matt is led to rescue the pup of what may be the same wolf. Well-paced and accompanied by a number of lovely charcoal/pencil drawings, this excellent early chapter book provides enough of a story to keep the reader entertained, without being overly long. 2005, Orca Book Publishers, Ages 7 to 9.

For the first time in his life, Matt knew terror. He had heard of being frozen with fear. Well, now he was. He could not move. He tried hard to see into the darkness. He tried to hear if the wolf was coming nearer. But he could see nothing. All he could hear was the sound of raindrops landing all around him. Then, right in front of him, a white form took shape.

My name is Jen... Im looking for the guy that said "Go to res 11" Heres my bio: (real looks and age and persona) Age: 17. Almost 18. Appearence: large but not to large chest. Medium sized but not tiny as<_>s. Shoulder blade length hair, which is embre, (meaning its blonde on the ends but it gets darker and darker as it goes up) and wavy. I have a flat stomach which is exposed often by the crop-tops I always wear. Persona.: I seem careless all the time, according my parents. I AM a virgin by the way, because I am eighteen in a week. So maybe in the roleplay I can still be virgin. My friends say I am nice. (So descrpitive for seniors in HS with the pickiest English/writing teacher ever.) So um yeah I think thats all there is to say about me... pretty boring. Oh yeah! I live in North Dakota and there is like 3-4 feet of snow, so Im pretty pale too. Bye hope ya like me
