This is only the second novel I've read by Maureen Smith. And so far she hasn't disappointed. I must say, 'Hats off to Mrs. Smith', this story captured me from the beginning to very end! The novel had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what would happen next. It was a nice mixture of suspense and romance. Throughly enjoyed the heated attraction between Nick and Rachel. Nick was definitely a man any woman would want to get to know. And Rachel held her own, she wasn't the whiny, always crying damsel in distress, although she had every right to be, considering what she had to go through. I couldn't get through the story fast enough to find out who was causing all the drama in their lives. If you love action packed stories with a lot of romance and suspense, then this is definitely a book you MUST read!

What can I say about her that I haven't? This book was so good. It had more mystery than romance, but I still loved it. I loved the chracters initial animosity, and apprehension. I loved the characters. 5 hrs 24mins

This book should have been entitled 'the perils of nick and rachel'. There was very little suspense and/or mystery. Boring and uneventful except for the sex scenes . If you took out all the thinking and talking about sex and the actual participating in such, there probably wouldn't be more than half a dozen chapters. Won't be buying any more books from this author.

"Ghosts of Fire" is a dynamic book. The book's contents/storyline is a mixture of Mystery, Thriller, Drama and Romance. The author, painstakingly describes each intricate detail/characteristic of the book's players. The story keeps you enthralled, there's not one boring chapter to this book. I truly enjoyed "Ghosts of Fire"! I found myself not wanting to put the book down, for fear of missing the next spellbounding page. My sister recommended this book for our book club. I am so glad she did! I would eagerly recommend this book to any man or woman. It's well worth the ink!
