Very Well done! More like the early ones. I found the last couple in the series a bit annoying because she has been treating Gilly so meanly and comes across as a snotty prima donna. This was going to be my last one in the series if the trend didn't change so I'm very glad it did. I was also happy to see some old friends back. I wish the series would move back home but barring that this installment was very good, scary in a around the campfire way and well worth the read!

As I read this book, I kept thinking I has already read it. Turns out I had not, but that means it was reminiscent of Victoria Laurie's other books with similar plot points. But I still enjoyed the book very much. I recommend this Ghost Hunter series. A good read.

This book seemed to bog down in places. It certainly was not as good as the other books in this series. The ghostbusting team travel to the New Mexico Pueblo where Heath's family lives for the burial ceremony of his Uncle Milton. While there they learn that the Black Hawk has vowed to take the life of each Whitefether, and will stop at nothing until it is successful. MJ must discover the legend of the Black Hawk but is stifled by Pueblo law that bars outsiders from many activities on the Pueblo.

The last time we saw the Ghost Hunters crew, they were in Ireland removing a phantom from a castle. There is a possible basis for a show in Dunkird, but they have to put aside these plans and head to New Mexico to deal with the death of Heath's Uncle Milton.M.J.'s spirit guide Sam Whitefeather (who happens to be Heath's grandfather) appears in a dream to warn her of this just before Heath is notified by his cousin. Sam informs M.J. that Milton has been unable to cross over because of the traumatic nature of his death, which was caused by a demon whose mission is to destroy the Whitefeather clan. M.J.'s job is to locate the person possessed by the demon and kill him or her.Although M.J. is not thrilled about the idea of killing someone, she's prepared to do it if it's the only way to dispose of the demon. While Gopher and the rest of the Ghost Hunter crew return to L.A. to deal with paperwork, M.J., Heath and Gilley fly to Santa Fe to take care of the evil spirit.M.J. and her crew fight ghost and demons the same way one would fight any battle, by being mentally prepared and having the proper tools and weapons (which include custom magnetized spikes and "grenades"). Laurie's matter-of-fact narration of these astonishing events is what keeps this series from edging into the horror novel category. At the end of the book is a preview of the next Ghost Hunter novel What A Ghoul Wants, due in January 2013.

In Laurie's mystery novel, M.J. and her staff are forced to make a change in the busy schedule of their reality TV show, Ghoul Getters. M.J.'s spirit guide, Sam Whitefeather, and late grandfather to her boyfriend, Heath, appears urging them to go to New Mexico to stop an evil spirit determined to wipe out the Whitefeather clan. To stop the demon, they must find the person who released it first. With all their lives at stake, it's clear they will engage in a tribal warfare to make New Mexico a demon-free zone again. Laurie has created a heroine with an unusual ability to talk to the dead that is entertaining and witty. A must read.

Finally we get to visit again with MJ, Health and Gilley as the go on another ghoulish adventure. This time they leave their tv show coworkers behind as they travel to Heath's familie's Pueblo. They think they are going for a funeral but little do they realize this adventure could mean their own! This is another fun and entertaining book much like we have come to expect from this series by Victoria Laurie. They mystery is sound and their is a twist at the end I didn't see coming and that is always exciting. I enjoyed seeing more of Heath and I want to point out how much more I like him than I did the Doc boyfriend of previous novels. Gilley is once again the absolute best part of these novel's. Here he is especially comical and adorable and more loyal than a golden retriever. From the moment he sits next to a group of sick businessmen at the airport and believes he has SARS to his hysterical one liners as events come to a climax, Gilley steals every single page he is on. I am very excited because from the preview of the next book, it looks like Gilley could play a very large part! I did think some of the research and hacking he does on the computer was over the top to believe. He complains that what Heath and MJ ask him to find out will be nearly impossible but he has the results before they even hang up the telephone. Still I guess some of this is to be expected from this type of light and fun book and it never is enough to distract from the enjoyment of the tale.

Love the books. Just wish she would research paranormal lingo. Misuse of poltergeist is frequent.

I loved this book. I found it interesting with the customs of Heath's tribe and the whole story behind the demon. I actually liked Gil in this book, he was toned down a little but kept enough of his complaints to still be him. I was finally able to see what M.J. sees in him. My only drawback(not so much a drawback as a worry) is with each new book the demon is getting bigger and badder, I think that it will eventually get to be too much, I wouldn't mind reading some simpler ghost busts, but that is just my opinion. I loved the whole storyline and the growing romance with Heath and loved the introduction of his mother. I admit that I actually figured out the who and loved the ride of getting there. I will definitely continue on with this series.

My mom and I read this entire series in a matter of days! We inhaled them all--they're scary, fun, spunky and ridiculously addictive! Why oh why do we have to wait another year for the next book????

As usual awesome read. It's great to witness Heath's growth into a confident man and take on his tribe in order to protect them. Love Gilley! I think MJ is developing in a little bit a scaredy cat but I am confident she will bounce back.
