Overview

Imagine you have finally landed your dream job. You are a young and hungry Hollywood Agent working your way up the Hollywood food chain, representing big names in film, television, and literature. You are wheelin' and dealin' with studios, producers, running game, the sky's the limit! Then it happens, you get called to action — the Army. And thus, you have to leave it all behind to go fight in a war.

That's exactly what happened to George Mannix. This memoir follows his real-life journey going from the perches of a literary and talent agency in Los Angeles where he was a young Hollywood Agent making film deals, to being on the frontlines of combat in Baghdad as a soldier in the U.S. Army.
