Tension grew between them, angering Alanna. “Hate me if you want/” The grooves near Rolt’s mouth deepened sardonically. “But you will be mine- in every way!” Alanna gasped with surprise. Rolt’s boldness was unbelievable. He knew that she was in love with Kurt. How could he have the audacity to claim his brother’s girl? I bought this with the promise of a historical romance about my home state. I even read the sample (as far as it went) with the hope it would be woven with the rich background of the country. The author says she combined her romance writing with her travels - one book for each of the 50 states they visited. Don't waste your time. This is not even a decent romance and the only mention of the state are a few names of cities and a vague explanation of the shift from iron ore to taconite mining which was in my 4th grade state history book! A pure waste of my money and my time!

I like her fast paced story lines... starting right at the point of contention between hero and heroin. Great book.

This is one of my favorite Janet Dailey books. I bought this book many years ago in paperback and have recently removed many of my books from my personal library but this is one I kept and have decided I want it on my nook as this is always one of my go to books for relaxation.
