Magdalegna is the Demon King’s youngest sister. When their parents died when Legna was very young he raised her and protected her. Now that Legna has Imprinted with the oldest male of their kind, a man of great power, one who is held in awe and some fear, Gideon, the King has to learn to let her go because an Imprinting cannot be denied. Well-written, smooth-flowing, excellent plot and a continuation of my enjoyment of the interesting characters inhabiting this world, Gideon is an excellent second installment in the Nightwalker series. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, is that there was a tendency of repetition reminiscent of Christine Feehan in her Carpathian series. Not a lot of repetition, but enough to be noticeable. I hope Ms Frank doesn’t get into that habit because while I enjoy the Carpathians, that level of repetition does make one weary. So far, it’s not that bad in the Nightwalker series. I look forward to continuing with Book 3, Elijah. From the description it sounds like it’s going to be an excellent one!

This is the second book in the series, and I loved Gideon and Legna's story. It was touching powerful and continued the story of the Demons. I really love Jacob and Bella and was so glad their story continued to unfold in this book. Gideon is a healer, and he is the oldest and most powerful demon. He is tough yet gentle. Legna is strong and powerful in her own way. Their love story is touching and romantic! I loved the ending....Now I am onto the next book!

This is the second book in The Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank. A much anticipated story about the Ancient One Gideon. Miss Frank is on fire with her portrayal of Gideon's battle with his emotions for the lovely Magdelegna. I could not put this book down when it first came out and I often pick it back up for a thrilling reread. If you haven't read The Nightwalkers, run, don't walk to your nearest book store. I have it in paperback and e-book so that I'm never without a good story to read.

I read this via Audio, by Xe Sands. This is the second in the series about "Demons" a very long lived elemental group that belong to a group of races called "Night Walkers". Gideon is the oldest of his people, and Elena the sister to the king-and highly empathetic. They are destined to be together--and as they learn to navigate their relationship they must fight the continuous dark forces bent on destroying all night walker races. I thought the story elegantly written--I enjoyed the interactions between Gideon and Elena, their characterizations were well thought out. There were some new intriguing characters introduced--like Damien the Vampire Prince. I found there was a lot of internal thought and I confess this sometimes went a little long, but it was read so well by the narrator, I didn't mind. I enjoyed the imagery painted. The Narrator, Xe Sands, did a wonderful job--there were many characters and she successfully gave each one their own voice/accent. I was awed, because sometimes there were scenes with a large number of people and all were distinct. I particulary loved her narration through the story--it brought the words, descriptions, inner thought to life. I am not sure how you can bring texture to life--but Xe did this. It was beautifully done. I may get the next one in the series -- audio. Because I enjoyed that aspect so much. A very interesting world indeed.

But wow so much run on. Revisiting the characters history over and over seemed only way to give this book pages. Although good plot ..would of been great if it hadnt dragged.

Not enough plot and too much descriptive information on everything! Including a cave.... who cares about the cave! There is a difference between backgrownd infomation and toooo much information. I like jacobs life.... i seem ro be wanting to skip alot of gideon's.

Frank's writing style is incredible - definitely on par with Ward and Kenyon. The dialog is truely conversational, as though the reader was standing in the room as an observer. The love scenes are absolutely white hot and, honestly, Frank has no equal in how she writes these encounters. I can't wait to get into the next five books in the series. I just hope my Nook doesn't go into a full blown meltdown. Definitely worth the money...and do yourself a favor and keep ice close by. You'll need it for a cool down.

LOVED this book. Gideon is fabulously mysterious, sexy and completely at the mercy of Legan. I love his author and how she really doesn't get too much into the 'bad guys' and explores the actual relationship between the lovers. This series is really good one. I can't wait to read her other ones!
