About the Author

"Warm, Charming, Fun"

C.H. writes about the things she loves most: Family, her Irish Ancestry, Baking and Gardening. Take a trip back in time to the Old West with her Irish Western Series, then fast-forward to the present, stopping at the Circle G Ranch in Pleasure, Texas before finally landing in Apple Grove, Ohio-Small Town USA-for a slice of Peggy McCormack's Buttermilk Pie!

C.H. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up, which if you've met her would explain a lot. She's always had her nose in a book, has traveled the world over, and even tested the time-space continuum, thanks to the awesome power of the written word. One of her writing quirks is that she loves to include bits and pieces of her ancestors and ancestry in all of her books. Her family centers her and keeps her sane, which is why she enjoys adding elements of family, hearth, and home in all of her romances.

C.H. is an active member in RWA, NINC and WWA. C.H. is a former member of RWA/NYC, PASIC, and NJRW where C.H. held numerous jobs including Treasurer, Assistant Conference Chair, and PAN Liaison.

With 12 short stories and 15 novels to her credit, this award-winning, multi-published author's books are available in paperback, hardcover, trade paperback, magazine, e-book, large print, and audio book.

3.5 stars for the Gift from Home. I bought the Irish Western Bundle, that has 4 books in it, this being the last one. I got fed up at times with John being for uncaring, where in the other 3 books in the series, he had a kind heart. There is very little in romance in this book, except for the secondary character's. There is an Epilogue, but not far in the future, which is what I want from a Romance story. There isn't much action, nor sex (which I usually want some), some passion near the end. My heart did ache for what Jessi endured when she walked away from town. Buy the Irish Western Bundle, it is a better deal. My favorites was book one and three. (ljb)

DO NOT BUY THIS... I bought it a week ago for $6.99 ,thinking like the other bundle I bought this was one also.. it is NOT  a BUNDLE! it is the 4th book of the 4th book in the "IRISH WESTERN" book bundle...which is ALREADY IN THE FIRST BUNDLE...that I also bought for $6.99 which is now selling for $3.99.  Love how C.H writes, but the way these bundles/books are being sold on here is Ridiculous!

Several of the books didn't have endings. They stopped almost in the middle of sentence. Looked like an editing or publishing error. As a result I rated it 2 stars. Shame probably would have rated better.

In 1878 the Committee for the Betterment of Emerson, Colorado has reconvened after a short temporary shutdown (see Pearl's Redemption); the members feel an urgent need to hold Jessi Fahy culpable. The CBE accuse Jessi of arson; setting on fire Peterson's Stable and causing injury to the owner. They also blame her for behavior unbecoming of a lady by her fighting in public and devastating John Reilly with a one punch knock out. Over five years ago John Reilly left County Cork, Ireland and then thirteen years old Jessi for America. Jessi and John's mother team up to send her as a "present" to him. After an oceanic voyage and a trek across two thirds of America, Jessi arrives in Emerson only he fails to recognize the almost nineteen year old beauty. Frustrated with him and bone tired, she throws a right to his jaw that proves what his mom said: his jaw is made of glass; as one punch knocks out big John. Though the CBE demands Jessi leave, she refuses. Instead she hopes that her one punch KO knocked some sense into John that they belong together though outlaws and kindhearted Flynn distract her somewhat from her mission. The latest Irish Western romance is a fun lighthearted historical starring a feisty female with a terrific right-cross and the man of her dreams with a glass jaw. The support cast, especially the CBE members especially Millie Peabody the town nosy body, enhance the tale of a brave woman seeking what she believes is her destiny. Harriet Klausner
