"I'm not aware that I am restricted in my actions by anyone or anything." Arrogant, rich and devastatingly attractive, Marius van Houben

was the sort of man who was used to getting his own way.

He certainly wasn't prepared for Caroline's plainspoken, commonsense approach. After all, as a student nurse, both qualities were an asset...if only Marius thought the same!

The Barnes & Noble Review
Manga, or Japanese comic books, can be excellent vehicles for love stories, as proved by these irresistible adaptations of romance novels. The titles are color-coded: pink for innocent romance, violet for more sensual fare.

Harlequin Pink: A Girl in a Million, based on the romance novel by author Betty Neels, tells the sweet story of Caroline, a young British pediatric nurse. When she goes on a vacation in Amsterdam, she first encounters the handsome, older Marius van Houben. Amazingly, their paths soon cross again, when Caroline's London hospital admits a three-year-old boy, unconscious following an accident. Enter the family's renowned anesthesiologist from Amsterdam: Marius. There are complications, of course, and misunderstandings galore -- but ultimately, a very happy ending, with the couple's feelings well conveyed by Kako Itoh's art. Ginger Curwen

I can always count on Ms Neals to lift my spirits with her romances. This one had just the right amount of pathos and happiness. I have had enough events tragedy happen in my own life. Sometimes I just want to read about happily ever afters and nobody does it better than Betty Neals.
