This book is a must for parents, educators, and anyone who works with adolescent girls. So helpful to understand the factors effecting young women today, along with action steps to take to help them.

I really enjoyed this book

Having a girl on the edge in my family I wish I'd have read this a few years back. The life that your girl is facing today is nothing like you grew up in and this book gave me some "aha" moments that clarified some of the issues we are having.

I first read "Boys Adrift" by the same author and had to read "Girls on Edge." I found myself nodding my head and thinking, "so true." There are some pretty startling and upsetting topics brought up in these books that as parents we need to be aware of. I started to reduce our consumption of foods from plastic containers immediately. Other topics require a little more thought and conversation with my husband. This book got us talking!
