Overview

Fearless and irresistible, outlaws are the original bad boys. Now New York Times bestselling author Jodi Thomas and Linda Broday, Phyliss Miranda, and DeWanna Pace offer up four sexy and romantic stories for women who love men who know how to pack heat. . .

If Cozette Camanez's groom doesn't show up for their wedding by dawn, she'll lose her family ranch. Trouble is, the groom doesn't exist-until unsuspecting thief Michael Hughes comes along. Never was an outlaw faced with such a lovely-and willing-target. . .

Larissa Patrick, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy rancher, has been kidnapped. Only one man can save her: gunfighter Johnny Bravo. Rescuing Larissa is the easy part-but getting her home without losing his heart will take the discipline of a saint. And Johnny's no saint. . .

Lawman Ethan Kimble is finally face to face with his quarry: socialite and bank robber Savannah Parker. The only thing between them is a Winchester pointed at his heart-and some undeniable sparks. If Kimble can tame the Texas Flame, they may ignite a passion that breaks every rule. . .

When outlaw Shadow Rivers and desperado Odessa Kilmore escape a hail of bullets and team up on a long journey, both are determined to hide their secrets-and their attraction. No easy task as they discover a love more powerful than their enemies combined. . .

"Readers couldn't ask for a finer quartet of heroes." –Romantic Times on Give Me a Texas Ranger

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Four honorable outlaws find romance in this uneven collection of novellas, the fourth from this group of writers (after 2010's Give Me a Texas Ranger). In headliner Thomas's flimsy "The Outlaw," pretty little liar Cozette cons outlaw-with-a-heart-of-gold Michael into marrying her so she can inherit her neglectful father's ranch. In Broday's strong "Trouble in Petticoats," Larissa Patrick falls for wily Johnny Bravo when her father hires him to rescue her young sister from kidnappers. Outlaw Savannah Parker finds hope for justice—and redemption—in the arms of Texas Ranger Ethan Kimble in Miranda's "Texas Flame," which deftly weaves layers of secrets into a narrative that keeps readers guessing. Pace's delightful "Most Wanted" captures the flavor and diversity of the genuine Old West as retired gunslinger Shadow Rivers pays back an old friend by helping distressed damsel Odessa Kilmore. The stories emphasize emotion over sensation, creating a sweet, sunny anthology perfect for rainy-day reading. (July)

Fantastic writers have gotten together to deliver the hottest, most romantic, passionate, stunning outlaws the world has ever seen! And once you begin, you will not only continue until the very end of this book, but you will also call up the airlines and get a ticket to Texas immediately! After all, if this is what the men are like down there, every woman in the world is going to live there! The renowned Jodi Thomas begins with The Outlaw. Michael Hughes is the outlaw's name, and he has just been placed into a situation that he doesn't want to get out of. Cozette Camanez is his 'mark' and she is a woman with so much ferocity that she will do anything - even lie - to keep her family's ranch in her own hot little hands. But.the thing she needs in order to accomplish all this is a groom, and Michael is the hottest one around. After taking a cold shower, readers need to pick the book back up and read Trouble in Petticoats by Linda Broday. The gorgeous daughter of a filthy rich Texas rancher is kidnapped, and the only man who can possibly bring Ms. Larissa back home and save her from her kidnappers is an outlaw by the name of Johnny Diamond. The gun-slinging is the easy part of the rescue; it's when he gets his hands on the victim that this outlaw's heart is suddenly in dire need of a passionate romance. If you can still breathe after the first two stories than you're better women than I am. Because the final two are written by amazing authors - Phyllis Miranda and DeWanna Pace - who offer an unforgettable, sexy outlaw by the name of Shadow Rivers, and a lawman by the name of Ethan Kimble, who is actually beyond attracted to the bank robber of his dreams.Savannah Parker. Each and every author has done an outstanding job of lighting the flames and turning them into blazing infernos with every single page. What can I say besides.I have to reserve my seat on the next plane to Texas!

Here's the problem I've bought several of these quartets with Jodi Thomas and I find Jodi's work far superior. So after I read her story I'm stuck with a bunch of ho hum stories. I won't be buying anymore. The disparity between writers is to great. PS Jodi's story was a 5 star.

When I purchased the book I thought it was all Jodi Thomas. I didn't realize it was 4 short stories. But, it was a delightful surprise--nice ready while I was traveling. It's a good "western" read....

"The Outlaw" by Jodi Thomas. In 1852 Cozette Camanez's dying father gives control of the family ranch to his brother unless his daughter marries. She explains she has a fiancé, but made him up. Due to his bumbling uncles, outlaw Michael Hughes is trapped at her ranch, but agrees to marry her so she can own the spread and he can keep his uncles from jail.----------------- "Trouble in Petticoats" by Linda Broday. In 1878, Larissa Patrick's father hires gunman Johnny Bravo to recue his youngest daughter kidnapped by outlaws. He goes out alone, but the victim's older sister Larissa follows him until he is forced to allow her to accompany him. --------------- "Texas Flame" by Phyllis Miranda. In 1889 Ranger Ethan Kimble catches debutante bank robber Savannah Parker. Before he takes her to jail, she explains to him what led her to become a bank robber. ------------------- "Most Wanted" by DeWanna Pace. In 1888 Shadow Rivers owes a personal debt he pays off by keeping Odessa Kilmore safe from those who want her dead. ------------------- The latest "Give me A Texas ." western romance collection contains four fine diverse tales. Although the story lines are thin except for Phyllis Miranda's complicated "Texas Flame" sub-genre fans will enjoy traveling the Lone Star State with these outlaws and the women in peril who tame them.------------- Harriet Klausner
