Giving It All: A Naked Men Novel by Christi Barth

Christi Barth’s smoking-hot contemporary romance series continues as the five best friends who survived a tragedy as teenagers take to their Naked Men podcast to open up about women. In Giving It All, the group’s globe-trotting hunk discovers that you need to go home to find love.

Logan Marsh never stays in one place for long. Through his family’s foundation, Logan spends his days traveling to the world’s most dangerous places to deliver disaster relief, which really puts a damper on his sex life—until he reconnects with his high-school crush. Stranded together in the Caribbean, they enjoy a steamy fling that awakens feelings Logan has ignored for too long. But family drama calls him away from her sweet embrace . . . or so he thinks.

Brooke Gallagher loved being a home economics teacher and cheerleading coach. Then an unexpected tragedy forced her to take some time off. Now she’s back in D.C. and despite the intensity of her tropical encounter with Logan, she’s shocked to bump into him again. Logan’s dealing with his own issues (including a newly discovered half-sister) and he’s itching to get back on the road. More than anything, Brooke wants to be there for him. But first, he has to decide if love is enough to keep him in one place.

Chapter 1
Present Day

Logan Marsh was in the middle of the longest day of his life. Because that’s how he rolled when a surprise half sister got dropped into his life after twenty-four years. Getting home to meet her became an emergency.

Since he hadn’t slept, and had crossed more time zones than he could keep track of, his day stood at about thirty-seven hours long right now. Middle-of-nowhere Kazakhstan to Washington, D.C., wasn’t exactly a direct flight. And now this crazy hurricane had sent his latest puddle jumper off course in the wrong direction before finally being grounded for the duration of the storm on some random Caribbean island.

He looked around the armpit of an airport. The whole thing could probably fit into a single concourse at Dulles. Plastic chairs. Scuffed linoleum. No bar. Not the worst he’d ever been in, but not someplace he wanted to hang out in for however long it took a hurricane to pass through.

The pretty gate agent with big brown eyes looked frazzled. No wonder, with a couple dozen angry passengers yelling at her like the hurricane was her fault. Idiots. Logan figured she’d be relieved to give him a hotel rec and reduce the line at her desk by one.

Bypassing the line—and ignoring the frowns it earned him—Logan rounded the desk, glanced at her name tag, and slapped on the smile his friend Josh claimed could charm the panties off any woman within a hundred feet.

“Angelique? One question and I’ll be out of your hair completely. And it isn’t ‘When does the next plane leave?’”

“I like you already, monsieur,” she replied, a dimple forming in her cocoa-colored cheek. “How may I help?”

“Got a decent hotel recommendation? One where my room won’t be jacked while I’m out? Or I’ll be charged for clean sheets?” Logan had been around the world more times than he could count. It hadn’t made him cynical. Just careful.

“Get away from the airport,” she warned. Then she handed Logan a taxi voucher. “My brother Remy drives a cab. Number fourteen, parked right outside. He’ll take you someplace good.”

“Thank you.” Logan took the voucher with one hand. Pocketed it. Decided to push the power of his smile a bit further. Swapped hands to shake hers and palm over a fifty-dollar bill folded around his business card. Money talked louder than all the grumbling passengers behind him put together. He knew. Common sense and decency went pretty damn far, no matter what language you spoke. But money trumped it all. Got things done. And what Logan needed was to get home ASAP. “First plane going to anywhere in the continental United States. Anywhere. You let me know.”

Her expression warmed even more. Probably because she felt the crinkled texture of President Grant against her skin. “Certainly, monsieur. Welcome to Dominica.”

“Thanks.” Logan strode away before the other passengers pitched an even bigger fit. Hey, he knew they weren’t happy. He sure as hell wasn’t. Not with Madison waiting for him—sort of—back in D.C. Not to mention a best friend whose ass deserved to be kicked halfway into next week. But his job had taught him that sometimes you had to accept your circumstances and make the best of them. Hopefully this Remy would take him to a resort with a hot tub, room service, and icy beer. Although a hot shower would be enough to satisfy him at this point.
As he scanned for the door, a redhead caught his eye. Not just because every man in the world appreciated redheads, but because she looked familiar. Which was impossible. Random. Weird. Weird enough to compel Logan to tighten his grip on his duffel bag and cross to her in five long strides.

Holy shit. It really was her. Brooke Gallagher, the captain of Roosevelt Prep’s cheerleading squad, all grown up. Really grown up. Her head still barely came to his collarbone. All that bright red hair still streamed down to the middle of her back. But the eyebrows arched a little more, emphasizing her big green eyes. The teenage softness was gone from her face.

She looked sleeker. Sexier—which was saying a lot, since her curves had been the wet dream of every guy on the team in high school. A turquoise top that looped behind her neck and left her shoulders bare showed off the deep vee between her breasts. Those lips that he remembered always being curved into a smile were pursed into a pout as she frowned down at a sheaf of documents. Brooke must be grounded by the hurricane, same as him.

Well, he couldn’t let a lady stay in distress. As adorable as the pout was, Logan wanted to see her smile at him again. Wanted it suddenly even more than that hot shower. So he angled right in front of her. “Welcome to Dominica, Miss Gallagher.”

I read and thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series and was excited to read Logan’s story. The idea of a group of men, who have been friends for many years talking out their problems on a blog as a premise was so intriguing. These men survived a horrific bush crash over 10 years ago, and their bond of friendship which was firmly cemented and has only deepened over the years. This is the story of Logan Marsh and Brooke Gallagher. Logan travels the world for his family’s foundation, never staying to long in one place. When a hurricane means he must stay in the Caribbean he is surprised to find Brooke who is there on holiday. Brooke is still trying to come to terms with the suicide of a student and is having a very difficult time. These two have history together as friends (both having a crush on the other and not knowing it) and after a hot and steamy re-connection in the Caribbean, Logan and Brooke go their separate ways, only to bump into each other again in D.C. This book was more of an emotional roller-coaster than the others in my opinion as Logan struggles to come to terms with the changes happening in his life including a half-sister he knew nothing about; Brooke wants to be there to support him in any way she can but the question is will Logan let her? Will Brooke be the one who finally manages to get Logan to put down roots? Or will Logan ruin his chance at happiness? I love the humour and the easy banter between all of the characters, particularly Logan and his friends. There was definitely a romantic feel to this book and I really love all the secondary characters. I cannot wait to read more about the Naked Men from Christi Barth.

Title: Giving It All Author: Christi Barth Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance Format: Ebook Pages: 224 Rating: 5 Heat: 5 Thoughts: So we finally get to meet Logan, I call dibs!! Although realistically I'll take all of them. This series is just amazing, each book can stand on it's own but we learn so much about each of them that you won't want to miss a single one. Logan is so focused on saving people that he doesn't stay in one spot for long. He's so selfless that he sacrifices doing what he wants or needs for himself. It just makes your heart melt even though you want to smack the crap out of him. What drew me to this series was the name, Naked Men. Of course my mind strayed into the gutter, well, it's pretty much always there so it wasn't that much of a stray lol. This is a must read series that is so well written that you'll forget that it's not real. I don't know how many times I had to stop myself from looking up their blog or broadcast, sigh. I can't wait to read the next one! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

We finally get to read Logan's story in "Giving It All", and wow what a great page turner! Logan has always been the missing link and the fifth guy in the 'Naked Men' podcast, and the man that completes a group of friends that have been together most of their lives. Logan spends most of his time overseas following a disaster, working to saving the world the best he can. This is something he has done since the accident that almost took his best friends when they were teenagers. Logan connects again with his high school crush Brooke, on his way home from the latest disaster. Both of them are hiding hurts that they have not been able to deal with. Will they be able to heal each other? Logan and Brooke's story is hot, sexy, emotional, and very touching for two wounded people that will find their way to a HEA. Of course, they will need the help of the rest of the 'Naked Men' and the women who love them. The story is a stand alone and a recommended read. I will say, you are missing some great reading if you haven't read Griff or Knox's stories as well. Thank you to NetGalley and Loveswept for gifting me with "Giving It All" and asking me for my honest opinion. This is mine. 4.75 Stars!

Of course is another book from Naked men serial great. It has it unique story complex great develop characters. Brook and Logan are easy to love, easy to cheer for them to make it happen. I love their dialogues the easiness that they have around each other. And it is really great to see all ASC together again with one new member. I’m waiting (patiently) for next one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Giving it All is book 4 in the Naked Men series and it is a fantastic continuation of the story. Logan has been a hero since he was in high school, when he help rescue his friends after a bus crash. After college he continues his heroic ways by working in the field in disaster relief. Logan is on his way to return home to Washington DC to meet his previous unknown sister. (She's the star of Book 3). He has a stop on a Caribbean island and runs into his high school crush and friend Brook. They are grounded because of a hurricane and soon they are hooking up. When Brooke and Logan return to the states their fling continues and soon they are in a real relationship. Will their feelings survive if Logan is always leaving to help with disasters. Christi Barth is a master story teller who writes complex characters in realistic settings. I loved revisiting the character from the first 3 books and highly recommend the other books in the series first. If your a lover of contemporary romance this is the book for you! I was given a free copy for an honest review .

I have been enjoying the journeys of the Naked Men. This is the third, and it continues to hold my attention. Brooke has been struggling with a traumatic event and hiding from life. With a push from her family, she takes a trip and finds more than a respite. Logan is always on the move but is trying to return home to meet the sister he never knew he had. Hurricane Danielle brings this pair of friends back together and helps them heal. Misunderstanding, miscommunication, and secrecy make this a bumpy road for both, and as they came to understand themselves as well as each other, I had tears in my eyes. I recommend this book and the series. I received a copy of this story through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

The third book in the Naked Men series packs an explosive emotional punch...Logan and Brooke's story surpasses the other two stories, in tugging at the heartstrings, in that they have a history, connection, and chemistry that literally caused me to tear up several times. There were so many times when I found my heart pulled tight by Logan's romantic (though he didn't see them as such) declarations to Brooke, which were meant to give her inner strength and bring her back from all her self doubt. His kindness was so overwhelmingly hot and sexy at the same time...especially because that's not how he meant that innate part of himself to be. Ms Barth's characters are so lifelike it is easy to go forget you're reading fiction. Layered over the depth of personality and intelligence of the characters, is the dialog that served the purpose of causing me to loose myself entirely in its swiftness, humor and multidimensional direction. The author cleverly leads you through a multitude of situations seamlessly, all the while leaving you wanting more. I truly look forward to the next book in the series as I've definitely developed an emotional attachment to these men and the women that they envelop with their love. This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

This was such a glorious installment to this series. Logan Marsh has been away for the first two books in this series but he makes such a spectacular introduction to us. He delivers disaster relief in the most remote locations in the world and after finding out he has a half sister he was unaware of he starts home only to get stranded in the Caribbean. Striding across the airport he see a blast from his past, Brooke Gallagher. He crushed on her in high school and little did he know she crushed on him. A mutual agreement to have an island fling is turned upside down when they meet up in D.C. What will happen when they are both in the same town together? This book can be read as a standalone but really WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO? This is a great series that just keeps getting better. I can hardly wait for Riley and Josh to see how they fall. **Received an ARC copy for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

A page turning hot romance that starts out with "friends with benefits" but develops into so much more. Plenty of twists and turns that will keep you wanting more. Luke and Brooke were friends in high school, but both wanted more unbeknownst to each other now with a chance encounter will it lead to forever. This is a great series but can be read as a stand alone, I will now be going back to read the first two books in the series and looking forward to the next book.

I was given ARC copy for review by Netgalley and Loveswept. This is the third series of the Naked Men . Logan Marsh is on his way home to meet a "new sister" that he didn't know about. But ends up stranded with an old friend in the Caribbean. Brooke Gallagher has been friends with Logan since school, but now its different . A must read to find out if they could help each other and fall in love or not!!!

Logan's book! Ms. Barth has been driving me crazy with the idea of Logan--we've only seen him so far in the books either in flashbacks to their Italy adventure (which, as he was the one who didn't make the bus that day, he was barely in either, until the one in this book), conversations about him, or in a small handful of sat phone calls in book two ( Wanting It All ). I've been more than ready to finally get to see him in person! In a lot of ways, Logan's book does not disappoint. It was awesome seeing all of the ACSs together again at last--finally!--and about time Logan joined in on both their soccer games and the radio podcast. Logan and Brooke together are a great couple--(high school) friends-to-lovers--and it was clear to everyone but them for about 85% of the book (okay, maybe 75% for Brooke, 95% for Logan--that average works out, yes?) that they should be together. But...there's issues. Of course. I think it's pretty clear from the beginning that Logan's been carrying some heavy-duty baggage from the accident/rescue in the Alps days, and it's still driving him in the present. Early in the book he pooh-poohs the idea that he's suffering from PTSD or similar, but I think he really is--and worry that the "realizations" he comes to toward the end of the book are too quick and not built on a solid enough foundation. Yes, he gets to where readers and his fellow characters want him to be, but it doesn't quite seem like he's done enough to really get there on his own. But, hey--it's fiction. It could work. And really, I do like both Logan and Brooke and enjoyed their story on the whole, easy resolution aside. It's always fun to see one of my favorite cities from the viewpoint of a group of locals, and imagining those ACS soccer games makes for some nice mental eye candy moments. Two more "Naked Men" to go! Rating: 4 stars / B I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Received an ARC for honest review for netgalley.Cute book, loved Logan and Brooke it was nice to see friends to lovers book. They had a previous history as friends and always had a crush on each other that neither one of them knew about nor acted on, but were good were good friends and I admired that. It was great to read about the respect they had for each others occupation and lives and not just admiring how hot they looked. I have never read a "Naked Men" book before this one, but it wont be my last, I intend to catch up on the two previous ones before this one came out, I want to see how Logan's friends relations developed, for some reason, after some of the reviews I had previously read I thought they would be shallow. Now after reading this one, I find myself intrigued, and wanting to see for myself, but for some reason, and I can not see it. I also have to say just love reading about a group of friends who stand by each other through out the years, it is encouraging and uplifting. And last by not least great HEA!!!

FAN FREAKING-TASTIC! Was thrilled to continue the Naked Men series with Logan’s story. Logan has been MIA in this series until now and I couldn’t wait to see who he was and how his story would unfold. Logan has lived a selfless, giving life, working for his family’s foundation as a disaster recovery specialist, helping around the world at smaller disasters that don’t receive international Aid. He had learned with his friends the ACS’s tragedy that one person can make a difference. When he learns that he has a half sister he never knew about, he drops everything and getting home to meet her became an emergency. But after 37 hours and many time zones, a hurricane has left him stranded on a Caribbean Island, where he runs into a good friend that he had a crush on in high school, Brooke Gallagher. Brooke was thrilled to be seeing him again and even though she had been sent on the vacation by her parents to help her get over her self loathing, self doubt and guilt, that she had been dealing with since the tragedy, being with Logan was just what she needed to help her forget. And since they only had now they decided not to waste it and enjoy a fling. But when they see each other unexpectedly in Washington D.C. time could be on their side or Brooke may end up with a broken heart. Loved the sizzling chemistry, easy rapport and their connection. There flirty and witty banter, fun and happy times as well as their lust and hot steamy nights made me unable to put this story down. Loved reconnecting with the other ACS characters and learning more about there relationships. What a wonderful story! Sweet, loving and oh so sexy and Hot! You need to read this series! It is FAN FREAKING-TASTIC! Can’t wait for the next one.
Highly Recommended! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC through NetGalley and to review and post a honest review.

I enjoyed this book. I had a bit of difficulty warming up to the character of Logan Marsh. Having read the prior books in this series I was a bit concerned, but once I did warm up to him I thoroughly enjoyed this book. His relations with Brooke, the rest of the guys and his protective instincts towards the sister he was surprised to learn he had really helped! Well worth the read! I have to say from the first book of Christi Barth's that I read I have become a devout fan of her work! Love this series!!! I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review!

This is book three in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I haven't read the books that came before this one and I didn't feel the slightest bit lost. Ten years ago, Logan's friends were in an accident and thought to have not survived. Logan spent three days looking for them and due to his persistence, they were rescued. This event changed Logan's life. Logan goes into disaster areas with his family's foundation to help people rebuild. Detoured on his way home to meet his sister, Logan runs into Brooke, an old friend from high school. Brooke is on vacation trying to reset from a personal tragedy. When she runs into Logan, she figures a vacation fling is just what she needs to start to move on. Can the person you crushed on for so long just be a one-time thing? The chemistry between Brooke and Logan was palpable. Since these two were really good friends in high school and never acted on their mutual attraction, once they got together it was like explosions and fireworks. Brooke seemed to need more supportive people in her life. The tragedy she experienced was devastating but the people around her didn't seem to be all that helpful. Logan has a hard core hero complex that seemed to lead him to being short sighted when it comes to taking a more active role in the business side of his family's foundation. I loved that these two really supported each other and the goals that they had. I definitely will be adding books one and two to my TBR! *This is my voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy*

Logan is Adorable Giving It All has become my favorite of the Naked Men series, but I probably say that after each one. There is just something about Logan that makes him irresistibly loveable, no matter how weird his compliments sound. Brooke is such a beautiful, big hearted person, that I honestly believe would help anyone, even if they don't deserve it. I love these two together and absolutely can't wait for whatever the next book in the series brings. Keep them coming Ms. Barth!

Logan Marsh is never in one place for long. His life's mission is to go to disaster areas to help those that can't help themselves. While on one of his missions, he gets an emergency call from his friend Knox. What he tells him throws him for a loop. Now he is on his way home from the Middle East, changing planes so many times he's lost track. Landing in the island of Dominica in the middle of a hurricane, to change planes, was not how he figured the last leg of his flight to take place. When all flights are cancelled, he tries to find some lodging and instead runs into his high school crush, Brooke Gallagher. Brooke is here to get her life back in order and snap out of the depression she's been in for weeks. Offering a place to stay at the resort she's booked in, is a win win situation. Reconnecting with Logan, who happened to be her best friend and secret crush in high school, is exactly what the doctor ordered. After a couple of hot nights with him, Brooke sees a light at the end of her tunnel. Now that they are both back in DC, Brooke is finally making decisions in her life, she wasn't able to face before, all thanks to Logan. Logan never imagined he was going to feel these emotions, now all he can think about these days is Brooke. He's in danger of possibly hurting her, since he knows that when the next disaster strikes, he will be leaving. I love the Naked Men Series. I think this is my favorite so far. I fell in love with Logan and his openness with Brroke. Their chemistry was sizzling. I can't wait till the next book in the series!

4 1/2 STARS! If you haven't tried A Naked Men Novel yet, you are missing out on a seriously fun bromance! A group of five high school friends, bonded forever by a tragedy as teens ... now living the good life while enjoying the continued success of their Naked Men blog turned podcast. No matter how much they resist, one by one they are falling into their happily-ever-afters ... and with the third book in the series, we get Logan's story! Great characters, sexy connections and a genuinely fun time! An experience as a teen drove Logan Marsh to become the man he is today. He lives for the moment because he never knows when he will be off on his next life-saving mission at the next great disaster! He rarely finds time to be home with his pals, but he does a lot of great work with his family's foundation for disaster relief all over the world! Brooke Gallagher has recently suffered a life-changing experience and needs some time to simply find herself again. Imagine her surprise when she runs into her old high school crush on a Caribbean island! What better way to ring in a new chapter in her life than to have a sexy vacation fling! When Brooke and Logan wind up back home in Washington, DC at the same time after leaving their secret getaway, will they be able to find a way to make a relationship work or will Logan decide that love isn't worth more than his work?

A great romantic escape to curl up with! For the past ten years Logan Marsh has sacrificed family and friends to help those in. Knowing he’s on call for the next disaster to any part of the planet has also limited him to no-strings, casual relationships which worked well for him until he got stuck on a tropical island and ran into his high-school crush. Connecting like never before they enjoy their time together until family duties call him back. Will she be Logan’s big regret or will fate give them another chance? Brooke Gallagher loved her teaching job until a heartbreaking tragedy pushed her to quit and get away while she found something else to do. And while her serendipitous reconnection with Logan was fiery hot, he was clear they could have no future because the dedication to his help and rescue missions took him all over the world for long periods of time. But as they’re both back in D.C. they can figure out their own issues while keeping each other good company, right? What happens though when they realize they’re both falling in love? Can it be enough? Christi Barth provides just the right blend of sweet, sexy and fun in Giving It All. This is the third installment in the Naked Men series which is based on a premise I find very original. Five teenage friends forget a stronger bond after they manage to stay alive after a tragic accident. During ten years they stayed in contact through their Naked Men blog in which they shared between themselves and the world whatever troubled them. They each have their own successful careers but live together now continuing their amazing friendship along with a live podcast of their blog. Even though we knew about him, because his a disaster recovery specialist we hadn’t really met Logan before this book. He’s a great hero and not just because he’s drop dead gorgeous. He has all sorts of emotional layers. He tries to be a good friend and son. Wants to be a good brother. He’s definitely selfless and wants to make a difference. But he also faces death, destruction and loss. The latter being easy to forget because he made me laugh with his cheesy but romantic analogies, and flat out swoon and sigh when he took Brooke out on thoughtful dates and let out all his emotions… Brooke was also pretty great. She’s easy going yet strong, understanding, and nurturing. All requirements for teaching teens but also a perfect fit for someone whose mother was cold and uncaring. I really liked how she saw beyond the hero and into the man that needed some TLC of his own but stayed strong in her belief that she deserved a man that prioritized her. I enjoyed Brooke and Logan’s easy back and forth that came from their long history and their progression from friends to lovers. Of course they had a big roadblock to overcome. Logan had good reason for being afraid of letting people in. But he figured it out with the help from his friends and his love for Brooke. Also a treat was catching up with the rest of the Naked Men, their significant others and other friends who we’ve met along the way. I’m eager to see what happens with Chloe and Griffin as well as get to know the rest of the gang. Giving It All is book #3 in the Naked Men series by Christi Barth. It is a standalone contemporary romance. Told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

Giving it all is book 3 of the Naked Men series. A series based on a group of men that went through a traumatic experience in HS and the bond created is that of brothers forever. I have read the previous 2 books and I am sorry to say, this one didn’t meet my expectations. Don’t take me wrong, it is still ok, but not up to par to the others. I was already inclined two-thirds of the book to give it a 3 star, but it picked up on the last third. So, it’s more of a 3.5. That said, it was worth to read about Logan, the young boy that had saved his friends years ago. Logan is a wealthy man, who dedicates his life to his family’s foundation. He travels to locations that are hit by a natural disaster, to assist in the rebuilding of the area. Brooke Gallagher, the other main character, is a woman who was a schoolmate, his Spanish tutor , and a good friend. They meet again in the Caribbean in the middle of a hurricane . It started out as a one nightstand, but upon their return to DC, they get together with the understanding that the relationship has an expiration date, since he was plans to leave again to finish his previous work, or another disaster strikes. That said, the book is more than the basic plot. It’s a story about how traumatic experiences mold you and change you. Whether the experience is of a rescue, or of the inability to help. Can we learn from the experience, without shutting ourselves from others? How far do we take our dedication for a cause, without alienating those that matter in our lives? Food for thought. Because I believe in the author and in the series, I will now give it a 4 star. Whose story will be next? I will tune in to find out. I was gifted this book by Netgalley .The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Loved this installment of the Naked men series!! This is Logan's story and it's fantastic. Each of these books can be read standalone but you'll want to read them all! They are all well written and the characters carry over from book to book. Logan is the one ACS that we know the least about since he's been gone on a mission during the last two books. Now he's headed back ready to meet the newly discovered half sister. When a hurricane forces his plane down and an unexpected delay he finds himself face to face with the beautiful Brooke Gallagher. A girl from high school he had always crushed on is now a beautiful woman. The have an incredibly steamy fling and when he walks out of her life to deal with family issues, Brooke doesn't expect to ever see him again. Fate has different ideas though and before they've reconnected yet again. Brooke may want more than just a fling with him but Logan staying in one place is unlikely so nothing can ever come of it. Or can it?? Put this one on the must read list. I highly recommend it.
