As always with Mary Logue's books, Giving Up the Ghost is very well written. It is not a long book, more like a novella, but memorable. A great read.

Well written book with an interesting story line. Frequently shifts from past to present, but that enhances story. Characters are believable and entertaining. Illustrates grief/mourning/recovery period very well. Would be excellent for book clubs. Look forward to other books by this author.

At first I was disappointed with where this book ended but the more I thought about it the more I appreciated that there are as many stages of walking through grief as there are people: the ending was perfect. Loved the humor, the characters, the writing style. I could totally empathize with where the main character was at: "the thin grey veil" as I've heard it described. -The place where the veil between our world and whatever the next one is.
