I've been a fan of Glee since season 1 - both the plot and the talented actors. But, this CD is probably my favorite. With fellow Starkid Darren Criss covering Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, and Naya Rivera doing a great cover of Valarie, this album is one that everyone can enjoy. Chris Colfer leads his voice to a classic Beetles song, and of course the Britney/Brittany episode - which has to be my favorite (Or extremely close behind Never Been Kissed). Every genre of music is given, and you won't be disappointed !

who provide the back-up tracks on "Teenage Dream" (they aren't seen on the episode, their tracks are lip synced by actors). They're college kids, just singing for the pleasure of it and for the recognition of the group, the Tufts Beelzebubs, which was founded in the 60's. Their earnings go to fund the groups' tours, CD's and community projects. Darren Criss (the on camera talent and actual lead on "Teenage Dream") is terrific. I hope someday they'll perform live together.

While I loved the renditions of "River Deep, Mountain High" and "Me Against the Music" I could have done without Paltrow's "Forget You". With all the talent on that show why bother bringing in Paltrow for buzz appeal? Amber Riley is phenomenal and Lea Michelle manages to conect to her audience on a level that I have NEVER experienced before! Her "The Only Exception" was heart wrenching and I hope she'll make a solo album soon! Glee has enough talent to forgo guest stars all together, but, as guest stars are a fun break, at least make them worthy, like Kristin Chenowith, Idena Menzel and Jonathan Groff.

The TV show Glee is vastly overrated. The stories are pedestrian and the characters obnoxious. But all the soundtracks are first rate, especially the Paltrow "Forget You." I just wish Lea Michelle wasn't so loud and strident. But all the CDs are worth having.
