 Robert M. Landolphi is a professional gluten-free chef and graduate of the prestigious Johnson & Wales Culinary School. He is currently a Certified Culinary Arts Instructor and Culinary Operations Manager at the University of Connecticut. My wife and I found this while on vacation in San Diego for our anniversary. What a find! I was diagnosed a year ago with Celiac disease and that has changed our life. Long story short is I am really sensative to gluten and my wife and I wish this book had been available then. The biggest compliment I can give is that my 16 year old daughter who detests the fact that our home is gluten free, loves these receipes! She adores the pot pie, mac and cheese and the muffins and chocolate chip and pumpkin cookies. We've made the chicken wings and they were wonderful. Both of our kids, ages 16 and 15 have commented that this tastes like "normal" food. Andrews McMeel has nailed the taste side of being gluten free and it is easy to tell he has professional training as a chef. If your newly diagnosed or a long term celiac, pick the book up and you'll find that his receipes are just outstanding. It is nice to see a professional chef making receipes for his wife (a celiac) and all of us who have to be gluten free. If you are newly diagnose his discussion of flour mixtures are both insightful and delightful in the end products they make.

Be super careful before ordering this book. Most people who are gluten intolerant are also very careful about all foods they digest. This book is 2/3rds deserts loaded with sugar and 1/3 food. I was super disappointed and will be returning it, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to a great gluten free cookbook.

Finally a book that covers more than just baked goods. I love the soups and chili's, onion rings, coconut shrimp, pasta dishes, etc. This book has been a life saver for my entire family. So far all the dishes I have tried are fantastic!!!! Thank You -Thank You-Thank You

My mother sent this to me after I was diagnosed with Celiac. The recipes are fantastic and easy to follow- every one that I have tried has worked and received rave reviews from my husband and two picky children. It also has a good reference section describing various gluten free flours and helpful information about interchanging flours that I have referred to again and again. It isn't a very 'extensive' collection of recipes, like some other much larger books I have soon, but still worth the buy. I would especially recommend for anyone just starting out the GF diet because the recipes are so easy and it was/is so encouraging when starting this diet to be able to cook and bake food that tastes familiar and actually works!
