About the Author

Aslihan Sabanci received her Bachelor of Science in Economics, with a minor in Interdisciplinary Business from Texas A&M University, USA. She then completed a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from SDA Bocconi University in Italy and Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management, New York, USA.

She further completed the following executive education programs from Cornell University, New Yorok, USA: Financial Management (2004), Master Certificate in Essentials of Hospitality Management (2006), Master Certificate in Foodservice Management (2008), Hospitality Marketing (2008) and Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition (2009).

She has participated in various Gastronomy Education Programs for international cuisines.

Aslıhan Sabancı represented Turkey in Miss World Beauty Pageant in 1991, taking place of 5th runner-up and also earned the title of European Queen of Beauty.

She started her career in 1998 at Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, Medical Devices and Diagnostics in New Jersey, USA. She then held various managerial positions at Ethicon In. and Ethicon Endo-Surgery Inc. in New York, New Jersey, Cincinnati and Istanbul.

Aslıhan Sabancı joined Sedes Holding in 2002 as a founding shareholder and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. She is a founding shareholder and Board Member of DOYSA VIP Aviation Company. She is married and has three children.
