We are, in a sense, 'prisoners of our own souls'. We are aware of all the best efforts we take to be good and moral, yet fail miserably. Our secret sins haunt us about a God to whom we are accountable.
The sin nature with which we are born makes us slaves to sin and we are never free from its tyranny. We sin because we are sinners. We try to do well, but end up doing the very same things we do not want to.
We decide to change this detestable behavior but whenever the opportunity arises we go right ahead and do the very same thing again and again. What a miserable state of slavery that is!
When you say God I Need You He responds by rescuing you from slavery to true freedom and liberty in Christ Jesus without your efforts or good works.

About the Author
Robert and his wife Shirley are from India. Robert was a business man in India when God called him into the ministry. After walking away from the business world Robert was led by the Holy Spirit to leave India and move to America with his wife and two young daughters to attend Bible College and prepare for the ministry.
Robert, with his family, arrived in Los Angeles, California with $200 in his wallet. Step-by-step God led him from LAX to La Mirada to Biola University. Shortly after, he was led to an apartment, gathered furniture, purchased an automobile for $1, secured a job at the university and landed in the church where I was the pastor.
I had the honor of serving as the Fenn's pastor for several years. I watched this man live out the very Gospel I was preaching and teaching. Everything about their daily life was a walk of faith. From groceries to the clothes on their back to a full Master's Degree education I observed God perform miracles of provision for this family.
Robert never got caught up in the "Western Gospel" that is so prevalent today. He modeled for his family and shined before those of us that were getting to know him a faith life based on the simplicity of the Word of God.
As you read God I Need You, you will find you are being exposed to truth that sets you free. I pray you will read this book and share with others. May God set you free and cause you to grow as you read.
