My oldest child, Alex, came home from school one day, upset that all the children at his school were a different color than him. He lay on the floor of our house, sad and almost crying. I tried to explain to him that there were lots of different colors at his school, but he persisted that he was the only one of his color. He seemed to be ashamed of himself. So I looked to my faith in God and explored the biblical teaching about why we are all different colors.
