This updated version of God Made You Nose to Toes is a wonderful improvement on the original. The artwork is much more appealing and the padded board book feels nice in your hands. This would make a delightful gift for a new mom or a toddler's birthday. In rhyming text the author takes you through each part of the body and points out great reasons why God chose to give you the features that He did. I can imagine lots of cuddles and tickles as you read this book to your little one. If you are looking for another way to solidify to your little one that they are loved by you and especially by God this book would be a great addition to your personal library. I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, GOD MADE YOU NOSE TO TOES is an adorable children's book full of bright colors, engaging pictures and prose that is sure to keep the littlest child's attention. It is excellent for church nurseries or preschools, or as an basket stuffer for your favorite baby's first Easter basket. Also good for babysitter's bags.

God Made You Nose to Toes is a really sweet book. The illustrations are darling and the message of the book is so positive. There is so much to talk about on each page and the story line facilitates great conversation with your kids about how God made them each unique. The animals are fun, the rhyming text is easy to read and this book has quickly become a favorite in our house. My only criticism is that it would have been nice for the story to include both a boy and girl character instead of just a boy. I think it would make more kids be able to identify with the book.

Help little ones understand that God created each part of their bodies so they can enjoy life and everything in it. In this delightful padded cover board book by well-known author and family therapist Leslie Parrott, children can follow along with Toucan––with a great big nose––as he helps them learn God loves each one of them completely. This was a cute little book, illustrations weren't my favorite and I wish it had more body parts kids could learn. Overall I liked the idea and think it was cute how they related things. I like how they incorporated God into the book This book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

My thoughts: There have been many "takes" on teaching little ones how God made them. How God made each and every part of them and made them special. In God Made You Nose to Toes the child is carried through the sweet rhymes with a little boy and his pal, the Toucan. The illustrations are especially colorful and have a sweetness that has a real cuddle-factor. Just like the cuddle-factor that children have. Leslie Parrott takes a little different approach to teaching that the body of the child is designed and made by God. I love this way she says things like.... God placed on the beaches some shells and some sand, and he gave you five fingers and called it a hand. You see what she is doing? She is talking about something like the beach, shells, and sand and the image shows a child playing on the beach. Using.... ??? You guessed it, his hand. God made many sounds that he wants you to hear, so on each side of your head he planted an ear. And then the author talks about the ear (well, ears, plural) and that they are placed on each side of the head. So the child is made conscious of the fact that God put his ears on both sides of his head. A great opportunity to teach how this way we can hear sounds that surround us. And the purpose of the ears? Well, because God made all these wonderful and beautiful sounds He wants you to hear. This board book has a padded cover and is perfect for those little hands that will hold it fast and carry it whither-so-ever they go. I highly recommend it! I just love children's books, and I love discovering new ones. Since my son is really interested in animals right now, I thought he might like this new book by author and family therapist Leslie Parrott called God Made You Nose to Toes. In the book children follow along as the toucan points out how God made each part of our bodies, from our noses to our toes. The rhyming text and colorful illustrations kept my little one's attention as we read, and he loved seeing the different animals on each page such as crocodiles, monkeys, and giraffes. It was a cute book and one I am sure we will read over and over again.
