Gods, Graves and Scholars: The Story of Archaeology based on 0 ratings. 3 reviews.
This book contains the most important discoveries of archeology. It doesn't matter if you want to know something about the work of Heinrich Schliemann or about the discovery of Tutankamun's grave by Howard Carter. The author describes everything in a clear and easy speach, so you are able to understand everything and it becomes never boring. If you are Archeology-Fan or you want to become one, you simply have to read this book!!!
I bought my first copy of this book in the middle sixties. I now have two well worn paperpack copies and a used hard copy addition someone used as a textbook from the notes written in it. Usually, I read it once or twice a year. The description of the king Tut excavation is especially engaging.
