Gods & Monsters ~ Jani Kay (Scorpio Stinger MC, #3) by Jani Kay

I never look in a mirror. I don’t need to. If I want to see what I look like, I just look at my twin. Daemon and I are identical in every way — from the outside. That’s where it ends.

Born five minutes after me, my brother hates that he came second. It irks him that I breathed life into my lungs first. Ever since he’s been trying to steal everything I have. Everything I love.
To own it first.

Until the day I, Cobra Malone, become president of the Scorpio Stinger MC. I throw him out like the garbage he is. Rotten filth won’t be able to taunt me any longer.
How wrong I am.

Evil knows no barriers. It stops at nothing. It won’t rest until it gets what it wants. And he wants what is mine. MINE. He wants my woman. My air. My reason for living.
I’ll die before I let him take Mia from me.

Will this be a battle to the end? Till the last man is left standing?
When two wills this strong clash, there will be chaos . . . and blood.
Who will win? The God or The Monster?

5 Stars From Sammy's Book Obsession! MY THOUGHTS~ I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review. Holy bikers, Batman! Gods & Monsters was an awesome read! Totally worth the wait! Actually, I think this is my absolute favorite book by Jani Kay! Don't get me wrong, I love Ryder & Jade's story as well as what we've heard of Harrison & Eva, but Cobra & Mia?? OMG insanely amazing! The writing in this book was fantastic and the characters with their depth and familiarity, blew me away! Considering that most of this book took place in the US and Mexico with mainly American characters (besides Mia & her family), I was thrown a bit by some of the phrasing and wording here and there that gave away that the author is an Aussie. Not that I have a problem with that fact itself, I love books set in Australia. I just think that if the book is set in a certain country/area, the dialect should coincide -which it DOES mostly, just not always. Anyway, I LOVED this book! I loved the way that the whole back story was told. We got to see Alessandra (Mia), Cobra, Ryder, & Razor basically grow up before us! I have a totally different prospective of Cobra now than I did in the previous books. Just amazing! I can't wait to see what else Jani Kay has in store for us in the Scorpio Stinger MC series. I will definitely be devouring all of it as soon as I can get my hands on them!

Finally, I get the whole story of how Mia and Cobra got together! I will admit I was a bit taken a back when I first read that Cobra initially met Mia, formally Alessandra, at the tender age of eleven and he that's when the Obsession began for the both of them. Okay for her to be crushing because she was just a child liking a teenaged boy, but it did creep me out that an almost 18 year old man was liking an eleven year child like that. I mean it's not really clear nor its really ever said that he's perving on her but it's implied and that's just twisted. The good thing is that he does absolutely nothing with Mia until she turns 18, so we can keep moving... This certainly was a very enjoyable read, starting from the beginning as it shows us everything Mia, Cobra and the club went through just so they can be tohether. It's such a shame that evil and hate can reside inside a person that shares the same blood as you. I thought Harrison was messed up, but at least I know that he is capable of loving people. Unfortunately Demon isn't capable of any emotion except hate, his heart is just so black. One would think what he felt for Mia was some type of semblance of Love but it wasn't, that was pure and utter jealousy and wanting what he couldn't have. Aside from the Christmas novella, which I didn't care for at all, this was another great addition to a wonderful series! It was refreshing also not reading about Jade and Ryder even though they are the main characters in this series, I just feel the others should have their stories told as well. Ms. Kay did an excellent job portraying Mia and Cobra's stories..Demon's as well. SR

Well Jani has done it again!! Just when I think the next book can't be as good as the last she proves me wrong!! This has to be my favorite book in this series so far!!  I received this ARC for my honest review. With this book, we finally get to see Cobra and Mia's story! From the first time they meet when Mia is only 11 and everything in between. Unfortunately we also get Daemons story as well because he is Cobra's twin. I didn't like Daemon all along but really grow to despise him in this book. Jani really does a fabulous job at keeping just enough turmoil in the story as to not be able to stop reading!! I literally had trouble putting this one down.  Does Mia and Cobra get their son Jamie back?  Does Daemon get his in the end?  Only one way to find out!!

This is the best Scorpio Stinger MC book yet!!!! Jani Kay has completely outdone herself!!!! This is the story of Cobra & Mia & Daemon & it is intense. It takes up right where the Bikers Christmas story left off. It also includes the back story for Cobra & Mia. The relationships in this book are complicated, to say the least, but Jani Kay is a superb storyteller & she manages to weave a seamless tale. There is a scene in this book that may be considered a trigger for some but it is pivotal to the story & is in no way gratuitous. Thank you, Jani Kay, for once again giving us a book that, for me, was almost impossible to put down.

Being first...sometimes it sucks! I was anxious to read this book, but scared at the same time. I'd had a taste of Daemon's evil and it was enough to make me afraid of him, even though he is a fictional character. I jump all-in to the books I'm reading, becoming the characters as the author puts me in their head. Let me tell you, Daemon's head is sick. I really enjoyed going back in time, all the way to when Mia (not her birth name) was only 11 years old. That's when she first saw Cobra, when he went to Mexico on club business. What an interesting, exciting journey it was to read their love story from the beginning. If possible, I love the characters even more now. Having those gaps filled in makes it even better as I move forward in the series. Understanding the references to the past and knowing what the brothers have been through together helps me comprehend the tight bond they share. Having a front row seat inside Cobra's head and heart as he struggles with his feelings for his twin brother and his attraction to a young girl was intense. My heart broke for him on several occasions and melted for him many more. That sexy dirty-talkin' badass biker...sigh

I loved this book. What a great third book in a series. I could not put it down once I started reading. Cobra is one of my favorite mc characters to date. A great read and I can not wait for the next book in the series to come out.

I was fortunate to receive an ARC of 'Gods & Monsters' from Jani Kay for an honest review. What can I say about 'Gods & Monsters'?? I LOVED the whole lot!! It's been a while since I've read that last "Scorpio Stinger MC" book, but at page 1 of the epilogue I was drawn within the world again. I loved the story of Daemon, Cobra & Mia, how they came to be & what made them what they are today... I honestly couldn't put this book down once I'd started, I was ripped into the world & thrown out once I was finished... or more like once Jani wrote the last words. I would HIGHLY reccommend you read the first books of the "Scorpio Stinger MC" series before you start, oh & in this order too: Ryder #0.5, Two Worlds Colliding #1, Unchain My Heart #2, A Biker Christmas #2.5. I loved the how Jani tackled a hard subject, actually a couple of hard subjects, that are integral to the storyline, but she handled them with compassion. It wasn't easy to read at times, but I'm sure it wasn't easy for Jani to write either. I can't wait for the next installment of the "Scorpio Stinger MC" series. I'm HOOKED!!
